| (no avatar) | I don't know how anyone can compare this to a live auction, THIS IS A SILENT AUCTION. First of all I have never seen anyone that shops on AA at any of the live gun auctions that I've been at. I am not happy with the 10-min rule. I have found that there are FFL's out there that can get you the same gun for less money than most of the auctions on new guns, so shop around guys. I'm really thinking that maybe OBAMA might have some interest in this website as I never seen a thing that asked for a vote on this. But yet it states that it's in the best interest of buyers and sellers. I don't know that I have ever bid in the last 10 minutes anyway but if you put the most you want to pay for the gun in the first place the bidding is done automaticaly so there is no point in bidding again because you already entered your max bid. At a silent auction which is basically what online auctions are when the bidding closes at a certain time thats when it closes and they don't wait 10 minutes just because someone wrote their bid 1 minute before it closed. THIS IS NONSENSE as far as I'm concerned. GO OBAMA NATION!! NOT! |

anderson406 - If you stick around long enough you will see very clearly that any significant changes are made by the wishes; opinions; and suggestions of a VERY select few here. The masses have little say in what changes and/or other moves are made on AA. This is exactly how Obama wants to run/ruin this country. Can anyone say "SOCIALISM"?? Bubba J |

| (no avatar) | Maybe they could just let the bidding go on, keep the auction open for like a week after the last bid was placed just to make sure that someone might not want to bid more on an item. I have been to a lot of auctions and I have never seen an auctioneer wait 10 minutes for a bid it's like 30 seconds or a minute is all you get. How long does it take to say going, going, GONE!!? Sellers were protected with the reserve to make sure they would be happy with the price they were getting, I don't see how this rule will solve any problems, looks to me like it has caused problems instead of solved them. |
