Hi, Sellers. Manny here at AuctionArms.com, Inc.>/p>

First off, I'd like to thank all you loyal sellers for using Auction Arms. We appreciate your business at the BEST place on the Internet for Firearms Auctions.

Next, I'd like to take this opportunity to announce a little change you may notice over the next few days. As you all know, Auction Arms was founded on the notion that a seller could auction an item and not have to pay any listing fees or commission fees for the service until an actual sale was made. We believe that this is important to you and we intend to maintain that ability for you, our great customers. We have held to this basic notion, and have not increased any of our special optional listing fees or commission rates for over five years. As businessmen however, I'm sure you can all understand and appreciate the very real challenges and problems of increasing costs. Unfortunately, Auction Arms is not immune from the impact of these increasing costs.

Determined to hold our fees at current levels, we have decided to meet the problem of increased costs through more actively selling our advertising inventory. We are currently in negotiations and expect to reach an agreement with a advertising broker to market and sell our advertising space. You may in the very near future notice that new banner advertisements are showing up on our pages, and in your auction listings.

We also recognize that some sellers may strongly prefer not to have advertising banners show up in their auctions. To this end, you will also soon notice an additional special feature when you are listing an item. This special feature option will give you the ability to opt out of having an advertising banner show up in your auction. You will be able to select this feature in each new and relisted auction. The initial fee for this special feature will be a nominal fee of $0.25 per auction listing.

Again, I appreciate your business and loyalty, and I trust this small change will not be disruptive.

Thanks for using AuctionArms.com. We appreciate your business at the BEST place on the Internet for Firearms Auctions!

AA-bob

kats, the ad banners number will be dynamic from day-to-day as advertisers join and drop off and as campaigns open and end. Advertisers will vary among those who want advertising exposure to our good users.

When you click on an advertiser's banner, you should experience a new instance of your browser open to display the advertiser's link. When you are through, you can merely close that instance of your browser and the page you were on at AuctionArms will still remain in your original browser window. If you notice a difference from what is expected post a notice here.

(no avatar) Not just you BPCR. I have dumped cookies and everything I know to do and I get wore out on trying to use the site.

All other sites including GUN BROKER are lightning fast , AA is snail slow and half the time I totally lose it when trying to review bids.

Time to upgrade software.

(no avatar) I have also noticed the SSLLLOOOOOWWWWW down of the AA Site. First I thought that it was my computer, but now I see that other users of AA have the same problem! It takes too long to add new items. Shoppers and Buyers will get frustrated and leave AA for the other two sites. Why is it so slow ??? What's happening ???

(no avatar) Hey AA-Bob - from time to time when I click on one of those ads AA space gets walked on.  It dosen't happen all the time but every now and again.

it happens on the forum home page:
http://www.auctionarms.com/help/forum/forum.cfm

It was the ad for Hillbilly Custom Rifles .  The silverado one dosen't do it.

The Hillbilly Custom Rifles ad just appeared on this page and when I clicked on it it walked on the AA page again.

The Heny ad just came up and it walk on the AA page also - but the silverado one dosen't.

(no avatar) Hey AA..Why do you put Hillbilly Custom Guns above my auctions,If they were 1/2 as good as mine then they wouldn't need to advertise,They would be to busy building rifles,They say 1"MOA. Thats not even close to a Custom Rifle

Petesguns THAT info will have to come from the agency handling the ads. I tried, to no avail.
