Thread Title: "New Communication Feature"
AuctionArmsCeo Buyers and sellers can now communicate with each other through the auction. Any messages sent between buyer and seller are now posted into the auction. We've found that sellers were having to repeatedly answer the same questions over and over, and by posting their reponse into the auction, they now answer everyone else's questions, too.

Petesguns A common sense suggestion, WWG. Let's see if AA has the common sense to use it!

jackthedog I've tried hard to maintain a positive outlook on this new system but I just can't swallow it. I do 99.5% of all my business on AuctionArms with just about zero outside sales. Within the last year, I've SOLD over 1200 guns on this site. I'm an honest person, trying to make an honest living by my own hard work (yes, sitting at the computer for endless hours really is hard work!). I don't cheat and I don't scam. Almost 100% of my auctions are penny auctions and they all sell via this site. Still, I'm just a little guy in the big picture here....just one more voice. What I don't want to see is this site to turn into a little eBay where we all are just "accounts" and money is the only thing that matters. The family-like atmosphere here has always been one of the most important things to me. It seems like we're getting away from that and frankly, right now, it seems like there's a "them against us" atmosphere. The gun business is special in that there is a lot of trust that goes along with it. That trust should be honored. I'm not mad at Manny or Bob....I know that a lot of time has been invested in this new system and it's hard to see something that you've worked so hard on fail. But I just don't like the "big brother" feeling it gives. Please, can't we have it back the way it was and all just be friends again??? Please restore it to the old system soon guys, I've got a huge pile of guns here that I'd like to auction.

Petesguns Obviously, jackthedog can keep a cooler head about this, (and my hat is off to him for that). But, the fact remains that EVERYONE is upset about this. WHAT IS AA GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

jackthedog Silence is not the answer. Let's hear from you guys. Are you listening to us or do we not count? We're asking for the old system back....not a fix to the current one. Please, please, please restore it. I want to feel like I can continue slaving away for you!

Petesguns Good posts, jackthedog. I am fearing that you are right........we don't count. Getting an awful smell like Ebay around here.

THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jackthedog I really hope that we do count. I had planned on shooting auction photos all day today....but this thing has got me out of sorts. Ya know...it is awfully nice outside, 75-degrees and fluffly clouds in a blue sky....it's been too long since I took a weekend off to just relax anyhow. I'll check back with you all later. My best wishes to everyone on this!

(no avatar) Petes lets not jump the gun, there are solutions to the prob and Im sure Bob and Manny are going to work it out. I for one like it here and I know I'm not going to jump ship over this especially since there are fixes that should help all of us reach a happy medium. If the concern is off auction sales, the fact that the initial question is sent through the system should be enough to monitor. I for one dont truck to screwing the hand that feeds me so no one better dare ask me to do something off auction

Petesguns WWG, I totally agree with you, and HOPE they will work it out. I just tend to get wound up quickly, especially when there is an information vacuum. You have had some good ideas, perhaps AA will listen. Tom
