Thread Title: "New Communication Feature"
AuctionArmsCeo Buyers and sellers can now communicate with each other through the auction. Any messages sent between buyer and seller are now posted into the auction. We've found that sellers were having to repeatedly answer the same questions over and over, and by posting their reponse into the auction, they now answer everyone else's questions, too.

Petesguns Come on AA, listen to the guys in the trenches, will ya? This system really bites, and I, for one, expect better from the supposed best gun auction site on the net. Or at least supposed, former, best site????? Obviously, I don't like change, but I do accept change for the better. This don't even come close!

COME ON AND REMOVE THIS JUNK.

(no avatar) I just became a seller, haven't posted my first auction yet but with this new system I guess I won't either. I have a business to run and this was gonna be just to offer a few things. But alas, guess it's to much work now.

(no avatar) Yesterday, I wanted to contact a seller that had a auction close without a bid. When I tried to send an email thru your system I found that the only mail I could send was the one you had pre-writen. Since I could not change your words to say under what conditions I would buy the rifle if he relisted, I went around your system directly to the seller. We came to an agreement on the terms of the sale and the rifle was relisted this AM with a buy it now option and I was the buyer. There many ways around your system. If your menbers are going to cheat, there is no way to stop it. Your new rules are like bad guns laws, they only effect the honest people.

(no avatar) I RECEIVED A QUESTION ON ONE OF MY AUCTIONS LATE LAST EVENING. BEFORE I COULD ANSWER THIS MORNING ANOTHER BUYER USED BUY IT NOW TO PURCHASE MY ITEM. SINCE THE AUCTION IS NOW CLOSED I CAN NOT ANSWER THE EMAIL QUESTION OF THE FIRST PERSON. THIS MAKES ME LOOK LIKE A JERK. I ALWAYS ANSWERED EMAIL QUESTIONS BEFORE. I HAVE NEVER USED ANOTHER SITE, BUT THIS MAKES A PERSON WONDER ABOUT JUMPING SHIP. TERRY WAITE DBA DISCOUNTGUNS.

(no avatar) I'm also now unable to send pictures of specific areas to potential bidders through email. Please restore the contact to the old way as this is going to end up costing me sales. Thank you.

(no avatar) I agree with the others,I feel like I,m being spyed on,lets not ruin the honesty what the majority of us have worked to preserve, once in awhile when a auction runs many times with no bids,, and has ended a buyer makes me an offer ,i relist it with a buyit now with there offer price, this way the auction gets its cut and we continue business as usual, thanks for your consideration,,,ROE

(no avatar) Pretty much the last straw, guys. I can fully understand and appreciate your concern over lost revenue due to off-auction sales. But you have to put at least some trust in your sellers, especially the old timers. I have lost count of the times I have refused an e-mail offer, suggesting instead that the person bid the auction, or wait until it expires with no bids. I have appreciated you providing me with a "store" since day one, and now I feel somewhat betrayed, and my appreciation met with distrust, and strong-arm policies. I am not one to beat around the bush. Do away with this nonsense ASAP, or lose me as a seller.

(no avatar) AA Bob-- Seems to me you are being a little paranoid here. As mainly a buyer on AA If I wanted to go around AA and buy direct with the seller all I would have to do is email all of them requesting a particular gun. Before AA came along we bought guns from dealers all over the country and still do. I believe that 99% of the buyers and sellers have integrity and your new program is a slap in the face of both buyers and sellers. I can't imagine that AA problems were so severe that you found it necessary to start this new program. If I were you I would re-think the whole thing. With utmost respect I remain Clarence Pollard
