Thread Title: "Short ISP Power Outage today."
AA-bob Our ISP encountered a short power outage today. Lasted less than an hour. We were/are experiencing a few server "hangover" issues as a result but seem to be back up and running.

Petesguns The snake has spoke! Seriously, I am sure that if it goes on for much longer, those of us sellers that have stuff to list won't simply sit back and wait for AA, we will find a place that works to list them. Grant has called it like it is, and he is entirely correct. This site works well when it is not being tampered with, and when it IS being screwed with, it is no better than a kitchen table based science project! Manny and crew certainly are no Steve Jobs/Steve Wozniak and this is not Apple Computers, so the back yard shenanigans have to end before the site goes the way of the dodo bird. I hope AA realizes the reason we even bitch about the problems is that we LIKE it here. If we didn't, we would have turned our backs and walked away with nary a word on to "greener" pastures a long time ago.

AuctionArmsCeo We certainly appreciate your business, and you'll be happy to know that we're not in the habit of making radical changes to suit our fancy. We realize that change can be a disruption when all you want to do is move on with business as usual. That's why we've worked on this problem from the start, trying to fix it and still keep everything running. As I'm sure you can see, sometimes repairing Auction Arms is a lot like doing rennovations on a building everyone is still using. Thanks for your patience...

(no avatar) Manny....Bob...or Mike....Am I just being stupid or does it just seem to me that most of your problems started when you deceided to start the banners?

I know that it has affected my end so much that I just don't list any more. Even though I would love to be able to do so, it just seems that it takes so long to try to navigate around those banners. Anyone else noticing the same thing as me? Even when I first go to the home page I have to IMMEDIATELY, click the log in tab or I end up waiting an unreasonable time to allow the banners to run before it will even take me to the log in page. Petesguns AACEO, to steal YOUR analogy, yes we DO realize that you are going to make changes. What YOU need to realize is that the house you have been working on has NOT been habitable while you have been working on it! Will be listing items tonite,.....somewhere.

m-1911 Just wasted more time trying to list items with the same results. This is cutting into my profits. I guess Gunbroker is the only beneficiary of this mess. Maybe they will be welcoming the refugees from AA, just like AA did with Ebay.

AA-bob

m-1911, you appear to be having more problems posting than most (although we have all experienced problems over the past few days.

I just finished posting test auctions. New, Relist and Quick Relist without any problems or slowness experienced.

In an attempt to drill down to your specific problem, could you answer a couple questions? How are you connecting to the "List and Item" page? Through your "My Auctions" Account page? From a "Favorites" link? From the "List an Item" link in the menu at the top of our pages?

How are you connected to the internet? Dial up? DSL? Broadband? Are you noticing any problems with any other internet sites? If so, what.

Are you getting any error messages when you attempt to post? If so can you copy and paste them in an email to me? (Would appreciate this from anyone getting an error message) Send them to Bob@auctionarms.com, please,

We believe the problems we are experiencing are related to our latest security upgrades, required by our Credit Card processing provider to maintain the utmost security for our users personal and financial data. We tested these changes in our test environment extensively before rolling them out. The nature of this problem was not detectable until we placed the changes in the production loaded environment.

We are working diligently to make sure this problem is quickly resolved and to return you to the efficient, enjoyable and profitable experience you have all come to expect from the Best place on the internet for firearms auctions.

We appreciate your input, concern and patience while we sort out these technical issues. We certainly understand your frustration and share it. We ALL want this issue solved ASAP!
