Thread Title: "New Feature: Related Searches"
AuctionArmsCeo Introducing Related Searches, a new feature at Auction Arms that makes finding items related to what you're looking for, easier to find. Near the top of every auction, under bidding information, you'll find a Related Searches bar. This contains links to other types of searches related to the item you're looking at. For example: If you're looking at a Winchester rifle, you'll find a link to other Winchester rifles. You'll also find a link to Winchester accessories. If you have any suggestions on how we can make this feature even better, feel free to post them here. Thanks!

Remington-Bob - Welcome aboard AA forum.

Yes there is. - Go to "MY BIDS" at the top of any page, then look for, and click "AUCTION RECON" on the right tab. You will be able to enter search criteria and have email notification!

Try to use the minimum of search terms. It doesn't like long descriptions! Wink

I still don't see the search feature we need the most. A space to put items we want to exclude from the search.

Excluding a search term...

Excluding a search term can be important if you're trying to cut down on the number of returning auctions. Searching for the word RUSTY returns auctions containing both NOT RUSTY and RUSTY. However, NOT RUSTY CHEAP PITTED is equivalent to (NOT RUSTY) AND (NOT CHEAP) AND (NOT PITTED), as well as (RUSTY,PITTED, CHEAP), and NOT RUSTY, CHEAP, PITTED. In other words, any search phrase following the word NOT will be omitted from the search result. Shorthand for the word NOT is a hyphen placed directly for the search term. So the phrase WINCHESTER MODEL 70 -SPORTER is the same as enteringWINCHESTER AND MODEL AND 70 NOT SPORTER. In other words, "show all Winchester Model 70s that are not sporters".

unfrotunatley your example of rusty also brings up anything with trusty in it. isnt there a better way to refine the word so you can rule out when the search term can appear in the root of another word?

When searching (shotguns) - (semi auto) - (remington ) when I click on search at the bottom of the list I get directed to (shotguns) - (remington) with 870 etc. listed. What happens to the other @35 semi's.

Want Paint off rifle

Recently purchased a Sig Sauer 556 NATO Rifle that was used by a SWAT Team member.  Gun color is green.  Previous owner used red paint and wrote a phrase on rifle.  I want to remove the red paint without taking off the Green.  Any suggestions?

Spray it with WD-40 , let soak and rub .

This will take awhile, but eventually it will come off.

After that give the whole stock the same process. It will look like new.
