jakebucky- You must have named one of the competing auction sites. Or some personal information about yourself (email, phone etc.) |

| (no avatar) | The 10 minute rule was a bummer as I had discovered tonight. (staff edit) The sniper fun of buying here is DONE. Waiting for the 10 minutes to expire when the auction end is now a moving target is sad to see put in place. My goal here, if I did not win was to engage in the haggle with the seller and then it was down to reach a common agreement of buyer and seller both being happy on an agreed on price. Now with the moving target auction end that is gone to. On (staff edit) I bid without regard to the 15 minute rule and if I win, great and if I don't win and I am high bidder, then there is no haggle option to go to next in the buying process. I am not going to chase an auction end to try to reach the haggle phase. I have had far fewer victories here than over at (staff edit) and I have been at both sites for about 10 years. I am very upset about the 10 minute rule and I felt that the haggle bridged the difference in not having the 10-15 rule. I think it is a better rule for the seller in some cases. It ought to be a seller option whether or not to invoke the 10 minute rule and work with the haggle. Oh well it is here and I will have to switch to (staff edit) thinking when I come back to troll with much less expectations of a successful hunting expedition. I do like the forums here at AA as they are much more open and informative and easier to post. I have never posted on (staff edit) as the search topics are difficult to follow. AA wins the forum hands down, but I am still in shock about the moving auction end time. I really liked the live online auction portal, but now it is kinda meaningless as the auction end time is now a moving target. Bummer. Over & out. |

| (no avatar) | I don't know how anyone can compare this to a live auction, THIS IS A SILENT AUCTION. First of all I have never seen anyone that shops on AA at any of the live gun auctions that I've been at. I am not happy with the 10-min rule. I have found that there are FFL's out there that can get you the same gun for less money than most of the auctions on new guns, so shop around guys. I'm really thinking that maybe OBAMA might have some interest in this website as I never seen a thing that asked for a vote on this. But yet it states that it's in the best interest of buyers and sellers. I don't know that I have ever bid in the last 10 minutes anyway but if you put the most you want to pay for the gun in the first place the bidding is done automaticaly so there is no point in bidding again because you already entered your max bid. At a silent auction which is basically what online auctions are when the bidding closes at a certain time thats when it closes and they don't wait 10 minutes just because someone wrote their bid 1 minute before it closed. THIS IS NONSENSE as far as I'm concerned. GO OBAMA NATION!! NOT! |

anderson406 - If you stick around long enough you will see very clearly that any significant changes are made by the wishes; opinions; and suggestions of a VERY select few here. The masses have little say in what changes and/or other moves are made on AA. This is exactly how Obama wants to run/ruin this country. Can anyone say "SOCIALISM"?? Bubba J |
