Thread Title: "Best Offer Auctions Now Available!"
AuctionArmsCeo We've introduced a new Auction Type. It's called Best Offer. It's very simple, really. It's essentially a BuyItNow that lasts as long as two weeks, during which the buyer has the option of making an offer to the seller. That offer is good for as long as the buyer wished to make it, and the seller has the option of either accepting the offer, declining the offer, or declining all offers by lowing his/her BuyItNow price. It's a brand new feature, so let me know what you think.

Oops, sorry Cyro, I was logged into your account when I posted the above note. Here it is again:

"Best Offer" won't work on relists, need to start a new one to get this feature.

(no avatar) One more qustion is it like a basic auction,if you get a bid at you starting price is that a sale if you have no other bids

Like if you start at a penney then the hi bid wins

AA-bob Nope, only by a seller accepting an offer or buyer using BuyItNow will the "sale" occur. There are no Binding "bids" as such until a Seller accepts and offer. Good luck and have fun!

AuctionArmsCeo Actually, I saw this thread and 'adjusted' the code accordingly. You should now be able to relist an item as a Best Offer auction. Enjoy!

(no avatar) As I now understand it is the same as a reserve auction with a difference name

Only the Buyer has the reserve to with-draw his offer

AIC My question is how do you know if it is a best-offer auction? I ran a search for best offers and I got 4 pages of auctions there were basic auctions, penny auctions, acutions of all types with buy-it-now bottons, resrve auctions but not one auction that had a best-offer botton.

AIC Post #12 was about a search I did last night, this morning I repeted it the same way and came up with only a dozen or more and all with a best offer icon.
