Thread Title: "New Communication Feature"
AuctionArmsCeo Buyers and sellers can now communicate with each other through the auction. Any messages sent between buyer and seller are now posted into the auction. We've found that sellers were having to repeatedly answer the same questions over and over, and by posting their reponse into the auction, they now answer everyone else's questions, too.

Petesguns Hartwell, there is obviously more than one way to skin a cat. Until AA decides to censor even THAT issue of free speach with the "this is what is best for you" approach that is so loved by one particular political party in our country, perhaps members will continue to find a way to communicate effectively. When, and if, even this method is removed from our abilities, then the members WILL find other ways to converse, although probably not as members of AA. The system HAS worked OK for me so far, but I have not gone through a bunch of questions yet. I will be doing a bunch more auctions this week, and time will tell. I guess that the one thing that WON'T get fixed though is the feeling of having stuff force fed to us, in the "we'll protect you from yourself" approach. Well, I haven't voted for that party for 34 years since I became of age, and I ain't about to start now!

(no avatar) You (currently) have a choice of how you wish to respond to an Auction Arms contact message from another member.

You can still respond to the message directly through your email (by clicking reply), or if you choose, you can respond to the message through the "new" communication feature.

(no avatar) I hate this new feature. You will always have problems with off site sales. even with this system. All the system does is add a step (assuming seller doesnt just put his e-mail in auction body). All you have done is force sellers to log in before they can resond to a question. I notice these questions are piling up in my "read" box and they are geting confusing. Not to mention that questioners can rip on someone for some time before it is privitised. This is the worst thing you have done to this site yet, and judging by the feedback, almost everyone agrees. PLEASE REMOVE THIS FEATURE!

Petesguns Aw come on aallan, it's only about 250 to 0 against.....not enough negative comment yet! Seems as though it's "here to stay" 'cause AA knows what is best for us, and well, I just can't resist an opportunity to stir the pot!

(no avatar) I have a goood friend and customer in Miz-er-ah. It kinda rubs off, ya know. You, like me, the kind of trouble we got in to as kids was playin in the crik and gettin our new shoes all wet. Not like todays kids. Todays huntin aint nothin like back in the 50s. I still remember the first day out with that 12 ga hammer double. It wasn't 5 minutes and ol blackie chased this big wild house cat out of a brush pile. Thank goodness it was a double bbl. no mor cat he just run into that no4 western shot pattern.( you can't do that anymore.) Then ol blackie jumps a fat cottontail rite out of the same pile. We ate the rabbit rather than the damn ol 7 clawed tom cat. Never saw another like it. That year my ol double had 37 cats get in the way of that shot gun. At that time the bunny population was rather low. That was soon to change. Ma's guarden suffered after that. We had more bunnies after the cats were gone. Nobody could find their kittycats. Them shells were expensive. 2 and ahalf bucks. Paper route bought them. hated it in the winter. got dark to soon for huntin after deliverin. Portugal jumpin turtles is next.

(no avatar) Well; I will be the first to admit ; I am not good on these puters. All I know is I want them to be easy to operate and don't give me no trouble . Don't give a RAT's A-S about all the in between stuff .

Right now ; I am getting my messages on the auctions AND they are showing up on my e-mails .

I don't post anything I care for anyone reading , so I reckon , I really got no complaints.

(no avatar) I wish we could block people on this system like we block problem bidders!
