Thread Title: "New Communication Feature"
AuctionArmsCeo Buyers and sellers can now communicate with each other through the auction. Any messages sent between buyer and seller are now posted into the auction. We've found that sellers were having to repeatedly answer the same questions over and over, and by posting their reponse into the auction, they now answer everyone else's questions, too.

(no avatar) I am just a small seller that has been with AA for some time now and really enjoyed using your site for some of the features and service that you provide over GB. This new system is complicated and time consuming for me, I can imagine what it would be like for the big sellers to attempt responding to questions.. You do know that GA allows users to submit there sales on an honesty basis... I can't imagine that the new system is really going to save AA that much money vs loosing alot of the great sellers and buyers that will stray to other sites to find the items that use to be listed on AA.. I would request the system be restored to normal before there are alot of Sellers & Buyers move to another site...

Petesguns Thanks Elitist, EXTREMELY well said, and much more calmly than I am capable of!

(no avatar) I had five auctions end yesterday, and I have not re-listed them today(Friday). I certainly feel a sense of loyalty to AA. I came aboard when E-Bay quit selling guns, and that was a long time ago. But a wise man once said: "Everything changes, nothing stays the same forever". In a free society, AA has every right to run their site as they see fit, and buyers and sellers have an equal right to participate, or not. Communication is the key to such a relationship. I have read every post in this thread, and I don't think there is any confusion over what we as buyers and sellers think of the changes that have been made. I for one, don't see a lot of positive response, and I simply can't afford to have guns laying idle. I am a man of my word, and I don't make idle threats. So the five expired auctions are going elsewhere. As my auctions expire, I will move them as well. I feel bad about it, and it is not my intention to burn any bridges. If the new changes are done away with completely, I will be more than happy to return to the "old" Auction Arms that I was content to do business with all these years.

(no avatar) Boy Oh Boy How do you spell STUPID? Welcome to GunBroker.com is all I have to say. California paranoia is even moving into AA.

(no avatar) All of this is so sad. I hope in years to come we will not have to reminisce over the Late Great Auction Arms.

Petesguns I don't think we will have to wait years!

Petesguns Check the numbers of auctions in a week or two, especially the Penny Auctions on guns! I think that will predict what is in store for the future of Auction Arms, unless it goes back to what it was!

IF IT AIN'T BROKE, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO FIX IT?????????????

AA IS STARTING TO ACT LIKE A BUNCH OF DEMOCRATS!!!!!

AuctionArmsCeo Did somebody just call me a Democrat? Ugh.

Alrighty, here's what we've done. I've created a new tool called 'My Messages' that is the first thing you see when you log in to Auction Arms. From there, you have the option of going to 'My Bids' or 'My Auctions' - but the idea is to get your eyeballs on our new messaging system before anything else. Obviously, this tool doesn't fulfil everyone's requirements, and we don't have all the solutions in place - so until I feel like everyone's complaints have been addressed regarding internal messaging, I've turned he email system back on.

Hope this satisfies everyone for the time being - thanks for your patience.
