Thread Title: "New Communication Feature"
AuctionArmsCeo Buyers and sellers can now communicate with each other through the auction. Any messages sent between buyer and seller are now posted into the auction. We've found that sellers were having to repeatedly answer the same questions over and over, and by posting their reponse into the auction, they now answer everyone else's questions, too.

(no avatar) I'm concerned the "AuctionArms.com Reply Form" will led to (criminal) email spoofing and hijacked accounts since sellers are being asked to click on a link in their email, and then enter their Auction Arms password.

Petesguns Thanks AA. I am sure we all understand attempts to prevent off-line trading, but obviously this was not the way to go. Perhaps, monitoring of communications by the internal staff of AA will be sufficient. Thanks for the quick fix.

(no avatar) Manny, you answered the problem for the seller but what about the buyers. Do they have no right to privacy? If a seller finds something in a buyers question that should be added to his auction, he has the method to edit his auction description without publishing what should be private communication.

Petesguns Yet another wrinkle.......I agree that the buyer should also have the right to privacy.

AuctionArmsCeo By default, the buyer does have privacy. No other buyer can see that post.

(no avatar) I have 20 more guns to advertise, and have spent this afternoon answering questions the "new" time consuming way. My new ads won't get posted now till I have time, a loss for both of us. I have too much invested in AA to let this lie. Thanks, Ric

AuctionArmsCeo I'm in the process of rolling out a tool that will let you see all the new messages that get posted - and answer them. This new tool will be just as easy as email, and a lot more reliable. Let me know if you'd like anything else included in it.
