| (no avatar) | I'm fairly new here and I have perused the discussion boards since registering and it looks like you've got a great site that has the ability to become something really good but one thing just sticks in my craw. I've seen it said in several places that sellers would like to see more bidders here. So why do you make your discussion forum only viewable to registered users? Don't you guys know that by doing this you are cutting your own throats, so to speak and possibly cutting out interested people that would otherwise learn alot about your site and see for themselves what your site is all about and then later become registered members if they could only view your discussion forum, without having to register to do so??????????? Here's the answer to the problem and it's a simple one; ALLOW PEOPLE TO VIEW YOUR FORUMS WITHOUT HAVING TO REGISTER so they can see for themselves that this is a for real auction site. You WILL get more people registering to bid if you only do this one thing. Yes, I know that registering is easy to do but I feel that alot of people when they see that they have to do that will say something like; to heck with them if they're that proud of themselves and their site to not allow me to view their discussion forums without registering. Was I too harsh? |

| (no avatar) | I have only been here ay AA for a few months myself,At first I was reluctant to register, its not the 3 or 4 bucks,it seemed unusual to have to pay to get on a forum, after being here a while I have come to realize than by registering new people we don,t get the BS that I have seen on other forums(obsenities, insults, that sort of thing),This has become like a big extended family, there is a little bickering now and then but overall we stick together and help one another if possible,I have become very fond of this site, its like having all your friends together to talk whenever you want,Most of the time everyone helps if you have a problem,You really do get to know the guys,I feel like I have a whole new world of friends-right in my computer,I am constantly amazed at the lenght these guys will go to help a member, looking up info and researching facts,I even get that little worry worm in the back edges of my brain if I don,t see someone posting for a while when they are usually on the forum everyday,It truly is a family that I look forward to seeing everyday, when I come in I turn the puter on as I go by it to change out of workclothes, when I come back shes all warmed up and ready for me,magic.stude51 |

| (no avatar) | I think this site has some kind of addictive way of trapping you into checking it all the time . Could be the folks on it . |

| (no avatar) | It's called "free speech" and what's written here should NOT be hidden from potential members who just want to learn a little about the site before making the decision to become a member and register. I'm not afraid of the KERRY, CLINTON, BOXER types and I see no reason why anyone else should be either. |

The only problem I see with having non-members being able to use the forum is that we will have those that have no intention of buying or selling on this website using the forum for their own agenda or trolling as gun people when they are really anti-gun and supplying and requesting otherwise useless information tying up members and administrators time. I wouldn't object to non-members only being able to read the forums as long as they would not be able post questions or answers. If they are truly sincere about using this website they will join. |

| (no avatar) | Gov2mod said; "I wouldn't object to non-members only being able to read the forums as long as they would not be able post questions or answers." This is precisely what I am talking about. Being able to just read and learn but without the ability to post would attract more serious people that would register, bid, sell, take this site serious and become productive members. Otherwise, not being able to at least read and learn possibly shows the Administrators of this site as being too proud of themselves and this site. Mr. Administrator "tear down this wall." |

Your wish is my command - sometimes!
I've modified the forums so that anyone can read them. But only those who are registered users can participate. Thanks for the tip! |

| (no avatar) | Wow Manny, Bravo to you! Nynn444, I will be as you say, coughing up the membership fee, now for darn sure. I've just been trying to resolve a few personal issues first. |
