Thread Title: "What do you think?"
AuctionArmsCeo What do you think of the Auction Arms forums? We thought about this question for a long time before coming to the conclusion that we needed to write our own forum in-house. The problem is that integrating someone else's discussion software was just as complicated as writing it from scratch - and we had a few requirements that absolutely had to be met before we would have something like a forum at Auction Arms.

(no avatar) Where do you find the "show pictures in an auction" button? I've looked for it but can't seem to find it.

First, open any auction that contains pictures, the "Show/Hide" pictures "Button" is not really a button per se, but an Underlined Bold HTML linked word that appears right below the Auction description. Click on it to toggle the feature on/off.

I am looking for the advance search of closed auctions.  I use closed auctions to appraise, price and to bid.  I have suggested referal to closed successful auctions as a means of dividing estate firearms.  It is a very useful tool.  I'd hate to see it gone.

Please let me know how to access this part of advanced search.

Will I be advised of additional comments on this thread or will I have to keep coming back to see if responses are posted?

CLICK - First off, how the heck did you resurrect this old thread?

As to your question; The Closed Auctions (on your Watched List?)  are not permanent. I believe they "self-delete" after about 60 days. (never can remember exactly)

If you mean the search feature of PAST auctions, I think you can only search back 90 days. - Unless of course you keep a record of the Auction Numbers that you want to view. Then I think it is more like 5 years(approx). But I don't think there is a general archive of all past auctions.

Hope this helps.

No, AuctionArms is NOT easier to use.  I used to use the "search" area to find dealers and/or items of interest. It was at the top of the old page.  It's a challenge finding that section now.

This is a classic example of a program written by "techies" to impress other "techies".  If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Sure  You all write about everything EXCEPT what was originally posted here.  Then you ridicule me.  Guys  that is the very first indication you all have LOST the debate.  If you can debate at all..  You merely want a circle jerk to ridicule me...Fine  JERK each other off in your ridicules, and have your fun, but you never , ever, could debate the real issues here, unless you all would have not resorted to the big circle jerk.

Go AHEAD  LOOK BACK  and see who started this circle jerk..   Look in the mirror fellows..........

-----------------------------------------------

I think anyone who is allowed to post this kind of filth should be permanently TIMED-OUT!

He has posted several of these STAINS on the forum!!!

Not to mention THREATS OF VIOLENCE!!!

I got a TIME-OUT for calling a member a moron!!! ONCE!

Brain, I don't why we even try. I reported this guy to theheat@auctionarms.com almost 10 days ago and obviously they didn't care as he is still posting his vile comments.
