Thread Title: "Announcement - 10 Minute Rule"
AuctionArmsCeo

At the request of many of our users, and after consulting with our buyers and sellers over many months, we've decided make a change to how auctions are run at Auction Arms. Starting September 1st, all Auction Arms auctions will have a 10-minute rule implemented at closing time. This 10-minute rule means that if anyone bids in the last ten minutes of an auction, the auction will be extended by 10 minutes from the submission time of the bid. We feel, as do many others, that this new rule will benefit both buyers and sellers by giving everyone an opportunity to bid on an item to find it’s true market value. I realize that not everyone will be happy with this decision, but we feel it’s in the best interests of Auction Arms, and our buyer and sellers, and hope you will remain our loyal customer. Thanks for your patience.

Bubba I am just another guy is all and I don't pretend to be more--my mother when she was alive whapped me when I did not get over myself and slowly I tried to learn because it hurt not to.

I have been wrong and I have been right and I have changed my mind and I have seen others do all of the same thing is all and there is an old saying "this too shall pass" well if the site fails then we find another way to do our business and it is theirs to do with as they see fit. We voiced our concerns and I hope they (Manny and Co) listened and will think about things if not then we never stood a chance to begin with. So I move on this stuff gets old going over it time and again. You made a number of good points that I wasn't hitting and for that I thank you. The others have their view and there was a time when those rights had to be bought with blood. So I don't want them wasted or plowed under just because I don't share them. In the end we will all manage,  if it is here good if not then we will survive just the same no matter where it is. I just like it here and the folks here so that matters more.

And Bubba I thank you for the kind words--you ain't no slouch either my friend

BNPHunter - I thank you for your kind words as well. I also believe that what will happen will happen regardless of the screams of the masses. I to feel as if this horse has passed on so I'll be using my time, thoughts and efforts to get back to selling the last group of consignment items which came in last week.

As a whole the people here are a great bunch of guys. I have met a few and have had phone conversations with several more. The spirit of being a "family" is extremely strong here, much, much more than on other sites. Take care my friend and I may see you on the other side. My user name there is Foxfire Rod and Gun.

Guys, shill bidders DO crop up from time to time,  When discovered all related accounts are cancelled for life.  Period.  If you strongly suspect a shill bidder, please send a note to TheHeat@auctionarms.com for research.

No Scam john T. The public knew exactly what they were buying. The news media covered it all the way. It just goes to show the gullibility of the buying public. Have you purchased your must have Chia Obama or skinny strings? LOL.    Trapper

Around the time of the Pet Rock, my girlfriend (who could not cook very well) forgot about the brownies. They had baked for about 4 hours!

We laughed like heck at here culinary thoroughness! And later that year she wrapped one up as a Christmas present for me.

In it's own box, labeled "Pet Brownie"! She wrote a "Care and Feeding" manual for it.

About 20 years later, I found it in a drawer, good as new!
