Thread Title: "Server Outage....."
AuctionArmsCeo Our apologies. We've had some difficulty with a database server, but seem to have ironed things out. After pounding on a machine in our data center for the last twelve hours, I seem to have lost some coherence, so please bear with me. We were forced to restore from a backup taken in the early AM hours of the 15th, so if you posted an auction at all yesterday, I'm sorry to report that we were unable to recover that data. All auctions that were scheduled to end during our downtime have been rescheduled to end at 8PM, this evening.

If you submitted a bid between 2AM and 4PM on the 15th, please take a look at the auction to make sure that the High Bidder is correctly displayed. If you see anything unusual, please give us a holler and we'll make it right.

Thankyou for bearing with us as we get this all sorted out. Everything is currently almost back to normal. As always, if you're a user who had a problem that needs our attention because of this outage, we'll work to make it right. Don't hesitate to call.

(no avatar) I've placed bids on 4 auctions. #6890193, 6890207, 6891109 and 6891110. They all are showing my reserve bid as the current bid instead of the beginning bid amount. It says only i bid on each auction. When you look at the bid history it shows I've placed 2 bids. I've contacted the seller zz59 ti bring this to his attention also. What can be done to straighten this out? Thanks for you help I know you've had a lot of trouble these past couple of days. rambo47

(no avatar) I took a look at these 4 auctions again. I had placed my intial bids with a reserve amount on all 4. I later went back and placed a 2nd bid on all 4 auctions to increase my reserve bids. The amounts posted as the current bid are the amounts of my orginal reserve bid. Kinda like bidding against myself! Just like to get those posted bids set back to the starting bid amounts.

(no avatar) IT'S STILL BROKE ---- Can"t look at any photos on auctions and when I try to look at my photos stored at AA, computer tries and then page "unable to find pathway" appears.

AA-bob Status Update 1:24 PM PDST:

SWAT is Currently ripping out/replacing an apparently defective controller card from our Picture server (this controller card seems to be the Picture Server equivalent of Fallujah where all the little insurgent bugs have retreated to set up a last stand).

Barring discovery of any computer equivalents of IUDs, we should be back up with picture service soon. Will keep you posted, watch this space.

Status Update: 2:35 PM PDST:

It Appears our Crack Tech SWAT team was successful in erradicating the last of the insurgent Picture Server Bugs. Without tripping any IEDs the new Picture Controller card has been inserted, activated and is functioning properly.

With all available fingers crossed and the appropriate anticipatory "pucker factor" state properly assumed, we are steping down from Defcon IV and resuming DEFCON III.

You should be able to post all auctions and things are now running as before. Please report any apparant anomolies here or send them to me at bob@auctionarms.com.

If anybody has seen that Murphy character lately, let me know...I've got a full magazine I need to deliver to him "air mail"!
