Thread Title: "Best Offer Auctions Now Available!"
AuctionArmsCeo We've introduced a new Auction Type. It's called Best Offer. It's very simple, really. It's essentially a BuyItNow that lasts as long as two weeks, during which the buyer has the option of making an offer to the seller. That offer is good for as long as the buyer wished to make it, and the seller has the option of either accepting the offer, declining the offer, or declining all offers by lowing his/her BuyItNow price. It's a brand new feature, so let me know what you think.

(no avatar) The problem I'm getting now, the "system" is letting bids come thur that are lower than the previous bids. The "system" will also take multi. bids of the same amount of money, so if someone bids 2.00 and same person keeps bidding by not increasing the $ amount it will just keep taking the 2.00 bids.460

(no avatar) Another thing if you get an offer just before it ends then you lose it when the auction ends instead of leaving it for the time requested by the buyer

AuctionArmsCeo OK. Auto-extend only works if you don't have any bids or offers. If you do, the auction will close and you'll have to relist it.

Because this isn't strictly an auction controlled by Auction Arms, but one where the seller has much more say, it's possible to have identical offers at different times, and for someone to make an offer lower than the highest offer. The seller is the one who chooses the winner - not Auction Arms. If the seller doesn't choose a winner, the auction closes without a winner without any charges accrueing to the seller, but also not permitting any offers to be displayed.

In the same way that the old system will send you an email, you'll be notified by email if you select a winner. So will the buyer. But if you selected the winner, then you'd already know, wouldn't you? If a buyer exercises a BuyItNow, that person will be listed in the closed auction as the BuyItNow winner. If the seller selects a winner, that person will also be listed at the BuyItNow winner - since the seller is just selecting that person's BuyItNow offer. OK? In other words, any item that sells will have a BuyItNow winner posted with the amount he/she should pay.

Let me know if I should make any changes.... I'm open.

(no avatar) Only problin we don't know who made the offer,so we can check his feedback,we don't want to except a low ball offer from someone with bad feedback
