Ugh. Hangover from yesterday's stint. I've fixed the problem and you now should be able to list. My apologies, but we're back on track. All auctions scheduled to end yesterday between 5:30pm and 7:00pm were extended to 7:00pm tonight.

| (no avatar) | Thanks Manny, I can relist now. Thought it might be a leftover from the crash. |

| (no avatar) | Hi Manny, We had an auction end during the outage. Last night the auction was listed as closed with a winner. We contacted this person with close of auction info. Today we see that the auction was extended and there was a new higher bid (which we like!). We now have two buyers one of which will certainly be angry. Which do we honor? Thanks! Jeff (JMSJOHN) |

Jmsjohn, at this point you should go with the new high bidder. Unfortunately, there was another glitch that made the auctions appear as if they were closed - when in fact, they had been extended. We discovered this fact at about 11:30 this morning and corrected it. After some thought, we decided that we would permit the auction to end at 7:00pm tonight. Given that we had already announced that that's when they were to end, and that after fixing that glitch, those auctions still had more than seven hours of run-time left, we left things to run their course. Also, we hadn't sent out any notifications to either buyers or sellers about who was the winner, and the auctions themselves weren't moved over to closed auctions.
So if one of the bidders thought they were the winner, until they're notified by us, that isn't the case. Sorry, but that's the only way we could see to be consistent. If anyone gives you a hard time about it, send 'em my way. |
