Thread Title: "Notice Revisions for Buyers under the 3 Business Day Inspection Period"
AA-bob

We've revised the site's Terms and Conditions by adding a paragraph to outline how a Buyer can preserve his rights to return a firearm under our 3 Business Day Inspection Period and to clarify that a firearm should not ever be returned without first contacting the Seller for instructions. The addition is as follows.

  • If a Buyer, after unsuccessful attempts to contact the Seller by telephone on at least 2 separate occasions, can not notify the Seller within the required time of his decision to return a firearm under the 3 Business Day Inspection period, the Buyer may preserve his right to return the firearm by sending an email notification to the Seller. The email notification should state 1) the auction number, 2) the Buyer’s desire for Seller’s instructions to return the firearm under the 3 Business Day Inspection period, 3) the dates and times he attempted to contact the Seller by telephone, 4) the number(s) called and, 5) the results of each call (no answer, left message, phone not in service, etc.). This email should be sent directly to the Seller with a copy to disputes@auctionarms.com. This email will provide adequate proof of Buyer’s timely notification of the Seller within the 3 Business day Inspection period. The Seller must either respond within 3 Business Days with return instructions by email (with a copy to disputes@auctionarms.com ) or by telephone. If the Seller fails to provide return instructions within 3 Business Days of the email notification, The Buyer should file a negative feedback on the Auction and notify disputes@auctionarms.com for further instruction and support. Under no circumstances should a Buyer return a firearm without receiving specific return instructions from the Seller.

(no avatar) I think an e mail through the auction arms site vrs a phone call is a much better way of a buyer notifying a seller he wants to return an item & is within his 3 day inspection period. First of all, there's a date when it was sent as proof that the buyer made the request within that time frame. A buyer can claim they called 100 times in 3 days, but there is no way for that to be verified. Second, I agree with willie up there... one of the primary reasons many of us got into doing business on the internet is because we are away doing other things while these auctions are running their 2 week course. Many of us have other jobs, go away to hunt, take short vacations, and go to gun shows. As a matter of fact, that's where I am right now as I write this. 100+ miles from home & my gun shop on my lap top computer at a gun show (hotel). So once again, another reason why e mails work better than phone calls.

(no avatar) Hey Guys, the way I see it, a Gun can remain Brand New if it's never been used or fired even it was sold at retail and returned to the seller. Is that correct?? Also, the three day return rule is an agreement or policy that the seller offers the buyer and it is not a law. Is that correct? If you guys know what is actually LAW, please cite it for us. Thanks

(no avatar) CALLING THIS PERSON, LEAVING MESSAGES, EMAILS HEY THEY HAVE TO HAVE A PHONE LINE, YOU CAN'T GET'EM, THE 3 DAYS END. YOU GET IN TOUCH WITH AA. WHAT'S AA GOING TO DO? THAT SELLER HAS YOUR MONEY, AA HAS YOUR MONEY, AND YOU HAVE A CRAPPY GUN. YOU GIVE THAT SELLR A NEG FEEDBACK AA BOOTS THAT SELLER. YOU WON'T DO BUISNESS OR HEAR FROM HIM/HER AGAIN UNLESS YOU GO TO ANOTHER SITE AND THEY WILL BLOCK YOU. THERE ARE DIFFERENCES IN RULES, REGS. AND LAWS. SO WHERE IS THE LAW HERE, YOU BUY A CRAPPY GUN FROM SOMEONE AND EVERYTHING IS DONE LEGEAL. IN OKJLAHOMA THERE IS A LAW ON THE BOOKS THAT IS CALLED SOMETHINH LIKE 3 DAY COOLING OFF LAW. NOW THAT IS SOMETHING YOU CAN STAND ON. SOMEONE'S RULE OR REG IS LIKE SHAKEY GROUND. TO BE HONOREST WITH ALL I CAN'T SEE ANY TRUST IN THE 3 DAY INSPECTION PERIOD. #1 YOU CAN ONLY LOOK AT THE GUN AND THAT'S IT. BUT WE HAVE TO HAVE SOME KIND OF PROMISE DON'T WE.

(no avatar) Joes custom I'm aware of the AA rule and we do follow it. What I said was that as far as I know, it is a or policy and agreement between buyers and sellers and not a specific law. I know of no such LAW do you?
