Thread Title: "Server outages"
AA-bob You may have noticed that we experienced some intermittent server outages/unavailability notices to users from yesterday morning (4-28) until 9 AM Pacific Time this morning (4-29).

Everything should be back up and running fine now.

The techs took the system down to fix the problem from about 11:30 PM Pacific Time last night until 9:00 AM this morning.

As a consequence, all auctions scheduled to end between 11:30 PM last night and 9:00 AM this morning were extended by 24 hours.

Because of the server problems, some end-of-auction winner announcements, customer questions and AuctionArms system generated invoices queued up and were delayed and not sent out during the outage. After the system was re-enabled all delayed/backed-up messages, invoices and announcements should now have all be sent out.

Please let me know if you are still experiencing any problem with any of AuctionArms Pages or Applications.

brainaxe I think AUCTIONS were extended by 24 hours which would delay your being notified by that amount of time.----As of 10:40 AM EST I have not had any problem with that pesty pop-up. Thanks AA Staff.

(no avatar) Still no emails or closed auction notices from 4/29. Auction ended before 11:30pm last night so it was not extended. Thanks...

AA-bob

Update:

We seem to have settled the server problems. You should no longer be receiving intermittent "pop-up" authentication challenges. If you are still getting authentication challenges, please copy and paste them into an email to me. Also, please copy and paste the address line from the page you are on like "http://www.auctionarms.com/.../...." email problems to bob@auctionarms.com and/or post them here as I will be checking this thread closely.

End of Auction Email problems are being worked and should be completed soon as email backups are cleared from the individual servers.

If you are still missing end of auction email, first try the "resend" tool in your closed auctions page. If that doesn't work within 15 minutes, please let me know.

gov2mod Bob, I no longer seem to be getting the "pop-up" authentication challenges. But when I was getting them you could not copy and paste them, you couldn't do anything with the page you were on, and you couldn't minimize the pop-up's. You could "grab" it with a left click and drag it down to the bottom of the page but that's all. You had to deal with it and when you did cancel or X out of it it would also take away the Auction Arms page you were on and replace it with the error messsage page.

AA-bob Thanks, gov2mod, the "pop-up" authentication challenges should be over. One trick in copying windows like we were having is to click on the window then hold down the "Alt" key while pressing the "Print Screen" key. This will take a picture of the window and you can paste it into an email.
