PROBLEM SOLVED! The magic number for the "My pictures" section is 200. When I reduced the number of photo's to under 200 the "Upload Photo's" button has magically returned to my screen. But, why did this happen in the first place? I never uploaded those photo's to "My pictures" in the first place, I only used the "Click here" and uploaded my photo's in the beginning of each auction. Only very few of the 252 photo's that were in the the "My pictures" section were uploaded to that section purposely and that was for posting in the forum section. How did these two hundred or so photo's get into the "My pictures" in the first place to cause this problem? Most of them seemed to be of a certain group of photo from one time period. The worst part is I wasted hours of my time to get these photo's removed from "My pictures". If I simply deleted them then the very same photo's were removed from my auctions as well. I had to go to "My pictures" verify the properties of each photo, compare them to the photo properties of each auction photo and then add them to the correct auction. This removed those photo's from "My pictures" but then I had duplicate photo's on each appropriate auction. I then had to go to each individual auction and edit and delete all of the duplicate photo's. Any other way simply removed all of the photo's from the auction. What a time consuming experience this has been. |

Gov, If you are anything like the rest of us techno idiots, 95% of the problem lies between the mind and the keyboard. I double posted the last rifle I sold. I had 16 or so pics when I wanted 8. It came from going back and trying to add another pic and adding all of them instead. It is easy to hit the add all instead of the add button. I bitch like all the rest but if I take the time to rethink what I did, most of the time the error is in my minute little brain and I shorted out the thought process. trapper |

I'm not saying I never make mistakes and I don't even want to mention the ones involving women or money but I didn't do anything different when entering all of those photo's than I ever do. It was just so many of them ending up in "my pictures" it filled it up when all I was doing was uploading my photo's at the beginning of each auction. Plus the "My Pictures" section did not have this problem and was far from full on February 16th when I put a photo in there to post on the forum yet was overfull on March 2nd so somewhere in those two weeks most or all of the photo's I entered when posting an auction not only went to each auction but also were put in "My pictures" as well, not before 2/16/09. Today, as a test, I entered some photo's for a auction using exactly the same procedure, "click here" at the beginning of the listing and it put the photo's to the auction and yet it did not send them to "My pictures", only to the auction. I'm still baffled at the whole thing. |

Witnessguy: And he has stalked the deer, as a TRUE hunter would do, for a day and a half crawling on his belly and on all fours only stopping when the deer did. No ambushing done here!! FR&G |

All right, this problem is getting old real quick. It just took me hours and hours to get rid of all of these photo's removed from "My pictures" by sending them to the correct auctions and then deleting them from each individual auction. Now, it's filling up again. If I try to post a new auction I click on "List an Item" at the top of the page. At the top of that page I click on PICTURE NOTICE: If you would like to add pictures first: Click Here (To Add Pictures Now) and I add the auction normally. Everything goes good, another auction has been posted. I go to the "My pictures" section and surprise, all of those new photo's are now in "My pictures" as well. No wonder it had 252 photo's in there, I'll never win at this rate. I posted another auction only this time I entered the photo's at the end of the auction and so far they were not in "My pictures" as the others were. This sucks, it took me days of work to remove all of those photo's. WHY are they automatically being entered in "My pictures" when all I'm doing to to post them in the beginning of an auction? Now I've got to go back to "my pictures", send each photo to the correct auction and then go to that auction and delete them. I can't just delete them from "My pictures" because even though I ONLY posted them to the auction, if I don't go thru the whole song and dance of sending them to the auction first and just delete them, it will delete them from the appropriate auction as well. Have any of you others checked your "My pictures" section to see if yours if filled up as well? If you enter your photo's in the first part of the auction listing as I do you need to go there and check to see if your "My pictures" is also receiving those photo's. |

gov2mod: You may already know this, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,Don't add you pictures at the start of the auction, but wait until you have clicked on the button at the end to "I have reviewed this auction, now create it" (or something stated similar). Then it will ask you if you wish to add any pictures. Click on this and the pictures on your computer should appear after the system up loader has launched. Select the ones you wish to be in the auction and click on the upload button at the very upper, right hand corner of the upload area. They should upload to "My Pictures". Then click on the auction in the drop down box at the top, as well as the "Select" box for each picture and then 'Add to Auction" and they should go to the auction and disappear from your "My Pictures". Have I got this somewhere near right anyone?? FR&G |

FR&G, uploading the photo's at the end of the auction is how I have to do it now. I liked uploading them at the beginning of the auction as I could view the photo's first, knew they were there, and sometimes changed my text as I viewed them. This problem did not start occurring until somewhere between Feb. 16th until now. Prior to Feb 16 I always uploaded them at the beginning of the listing and they were not going to "My pictures" at that time. I'm not doing anything different than I ever did since we have the new upload system when listing an auction. |

You have to completely create the auction first. Go to the newly created auction and you will see a complete auction ready for the public. It is then that you add pictures.Go to my pics click, upload pics. This will take you to your computer files where you pics are. highlight the pics you want to go on auction and click add. This will drop the pic down to a lower section of the page. After you have choosen all the pics you want, click upload files and if you have choosen the auction you want, they will automatically attach to your auction and be seen. trapper |
