m-1911, you appear to be having more problems posting than most (although we have all experienced problems over the past few days. I just finished posting test auctions. New, Relist and Quick Relist without any problems or slowness experienced. In an attempt to drill down to your specific problem, could you answer a couple questions? How are you connecting to the "List and Item" page? Through your "My Auctions" Account page? From a "Favorites" link? From the "List an Item" link in the menu at the top of our pages? How are you connected to the internet? Dial up? DSL? Broadband? Are you noticing any problems with any other internet sites? If so, what. Are you getting any error messages when you attempt to post? If so can you copy and paste them in an email to me? (Would appreciate this from anyone getting an error message) Send them to Bob@auctionarms.com, please, We believe the problems we are experiencing are related to our latest security upgrades, required by our Credit Card processing provider to maintain the utmost security for our users personal and financial data. We tested these changes in our test environment extensively before rolling them out. The nature of this problem was not detectable until we placed the changes in the production loaded environment. We are working diligently to make sure this problem is quickly resolved and to return you to the efficient, enjoyable and profitable experience you have all come to expect from the Best place on the internet for firearms auctions. We appreciate your input, concern and patience while we sort out these technical issues. We certainly understand your frustration and share it. We ALL want this issue solved ASAP! |

I just got off the phone with Manny. He spent close to 30 mins with me trying different fixes. I am glad to say that I am now able to upload pics. Hats off to Manny and the staff. Gary |

I am sure it IS fixed, and I need to call AA-bob to do the same, but WHY did it work LAST week just fine? Change is good, but not when it throws everything else into disaray. |

I can provide that answer. Have you noticed that when you log in, you're logging in on a secure page? Try logging out and then logging back in - you'll see what I'm talking about. You'll know it's a secure page because the URL start with https://secure.auctionarms.com... That didn't used to be the case. We wanted to make Auction Arms even more secure, and as I'm sure you'll agree - that's pretty important.
We moved all the logins to the secure side of the site - and that started creating trouble with the item posting side of the site. They're on the same set of servers, and everyone suddenly using the secure logins started slowing down the item posting process. Like a freeway with a jack-knifed rig, everyone's traffic started backing up. Unfortunately, it took some time to find the right combination of servers to make sure that enough lanes of traffic were open for the demands that were being made. But I think we've got it figured out. Thanks for your patience. |

Bob and Manny, Seems like the help I got yesterday only worked temporarily. Last night I was able to list three auctions without major problems. But this morning, I logged off and logged in again on the secure server, and when I try to upload pictures again I get the same error message. Gary |
