Thread Title: "9/1 Picture Server Outage"

Our picture server failed this morning between 2 and 3 AM. As a result pictures and thumbnails in auctions will not display. New auctions with pictures can not be posted as theree is nowhere for the pictures to reside.

AuctionArms staff is working on it and we'll post updates as they develop. Hopefully this will not be a long outage but have no ETA on recovery at this point.

tomon I tried four times to list an auction at 9 am DST and the system won't let me in to do it.

(no avatar) Pics still down at noon eastern on Sep 3. Getting the infamous "X boxes" instead of real pics. Not really a complaint, just want you to know about it as you thought it was fixed.

tomon As of 12:20 DST I still can't get in to list new item, even without pictures. The loan offer of 4 lb. drill hammer is still open!!

AA-bob As you are all aware, the Picture server dropped out again this morning, I'm told we discovered a BIOS problem which may have been the elusive gremlin we've been trying to track down.

We have reestablished the correct BIOS and restored the picture server as of 10:15 PDST, pictures are back up and running.

Please post if you notice any problems. New servers are on the way, by the way.

Will be holding on tightly to the square knot with all fingers, toes and eyes crossed and holding off on the cold beer and bourbon 'til the bug hunt is confirmed over and things return to normal for the next few days.

(no avatar) YEA, WELL, I KNOW WHAT THE CRASHES MEAN. MY HARD DRIVE WENT, REPLACED AND UP GRADED TO A LARGER ONE, OTHER PARTS WENT, COST TO MUCH TO FIX IT. HAD A NEW COMPUTER BUILT, $366.10.
