Thread Title: "Server outages"
AA-bob You may have noticed that we experienced some intermittent server outages/unavailability notices to users from yesterday morning (4-28) until 9 AM Pacific Time this morning (4-29).

Everything should be back up and running fine now.

The techs took the system down to fix the problem from about 11:30 PM Pacific Time last night until 9:00 AM this morning.

As a consequence, all auctions scheduled to end between 11:30 PM last night and 9:00 AM this morning were extended by 24 hours.

Because of the server problems, some end-of-auction winner announcements, customer questions and AuctionArms system generated invoices queued up and were delayed and not sent out during the outage. After the system was re-enabled all delayed/backed-up messages, invoices and announcements should now have all be sent out.

Please let me know if you are still experiencing any problem with any of AuctionArms Pages or Applications.

Oops, was in compositor's account when I posted this.

Techs are aware and hard at work on these. I think the notification problem is solved (had a server backing up some email) and we had a few problems in invoice generation and billing which are being corrected as I type this.

Please post here if you are not/have not received your email notifications, a specific auction number/numbers would be helpful.

Thanks for your patience while we get thinks set right.

gov2mod This morning I received the preliminary notice of a buy it now sale right away but not the auction end notice. Tonight I received the notice for that auction that ended this morning. Yesterday, 5/4/09, I received the notice of a buy it now auction sale right after the auction ended but I never have received the end of auction notice with the buyers name, address, etc. The one I did not receive is auction 9113611. This is the auction number I was billed six times for but that also has been corrected to just one charge.

Petesguns Seems like this is an intermittent problem that has become widespread. We haven't received auction ended notifications, Buy It Now notifications, or hardly ANYTHING except our monthly bill from the AA email system for over a year. AND, there are NO spam blocks, firewall blocks or anything else preventing it on our end, though it has been blamed on our computer. BUT this is happening on 5 different computers in four different locations. I have given up complaining about it as a lost cause, but just figured I'd add my two cents worth to the discussion.

AA-bob lde, sounds like you may have lost your internet connection while the page was loading. Please contact support if it continues and it's not your internet connection failing.
