Thread Title: "Hurricane Katrina slows Miss.t, perhaps others in the Gulf States"
AA-bob

Got the following message from miss.t. Appears her business has been disrupted by Hurricane Katrina.

Our prayers are with all our users and their families in Louisiana, Mississpippi, Alabama. Please post to this thread if you have any info about users affected by the Hurricane.

If anyone affected by Hurricane Katrina needs assistance with communication with family, friends, loved ones and we can be of any help, please post here with phone numbers/email addresses and instructions on what we can do to help.

Her's Miss.t's message:

"We were all forced to evacuate due to the Hurricane Katrina which just hit New Olreans, LA.

"miss.t@treasurehuntarms.com has no way to deal with the various auctions that were in play before the storm hit. She asks that someone please relay this to people.

"As soon as possible miss.t@treasurehuntarms.com will make contact to resolve auctions."

Miss.t's son Richard, is also a seller on the site under nickname booker-t. He of course is in the same dire straights as Terri. I received a voice message from Terri and she says all of Booker-t's inventory was rescued and will be shipped as soon as possible.

Terri believes the mail will not be delivered for at least 2 more weeks, so if you've sent payment that would have arrived on or after the date Huirricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, it may take a couple weeks at least from now, before they can begin to process shipments.

Terri and Richard are of course most concerned for their customers and continue to get messages through to us during this particulaly trying time to let you all know they are concerned and aren't ignoring their customers.

Be safe, Terri and Richard. You and all those affected by this terrible calamity have been and remain in our prayers.

Latest on Terri,

"Greetings Bob,

"I just talked with Terri on a cell. They are on their way back now. Power has been restored to at least a portion of the area. Her cable Internet connection is out, but she plans to get a temporary dial-up.

The web and email servers are working so she should be able to receive email again within the next day or so as soon as she can get an ISP.

tomon My memory WAS wrong. Howard Franks was the guy who sold me my first major purchase on AA, the 30-30 model 340 out of Waveland, Ms. One town over from Bay St. Louis. Thanks AA-Bob for the info and I'm glad he and his are all right.

(no avatar) Thank goodness ya'll. I'm back home, internet connection just came up a few minutes ago, post office will be opening tomorrow so I'll be back in business. All inventory stayed high and dry and not looted, thanks to the greatest police department in the South, St Charles Parish. This has been an horrendous week, a long story, but thank goodness we are all safe and sound. As I can, I'll tell ya'll more. I've spent the day tearing the wet carpet out of our Aunt's house and cutting falling trees at my in'laws. Hopefully tomorrow or the next day I can start getting the guns that are paid for shipped. I'll be emailing all of you that have bought guns from me tomorrow, I'm just so tired, I can't handle anymore today. Legs are killing me, it's hell getting old, thanks goodness for Jack Daniel. this has been a great blow to out entire family, several in our family have been flooded with a foot or so of water, both my nieces in Long Beach MS houses's were flattened, another niece in Slidell LA has 12 feet of water. But we are all so thankfull, it could have been worse. I thank you all so much for your best wishes and you will hear more from me tomorrow. Love you all, miss.t

(no avatar) miss t ; God bless you and your family . I just got home this morning from down there . I have a different outlook on life , than before . The news media can't shut up about New Orleans long enough to talk about the GOOD people of Miss. that are in need . Not just along the coast , but all up through Miss. I am disgusted on one hand and proud on the other hand as to how all this after the fact help has been handled . I will say this . After what I saw my money and goods will go to individual relief organizations that are putting together tangible goods to get to the people that need it . I will NEVER give another thing to the Red Cross . And that's about all I will say about that . Sincerely ; though , if I can help you in any way let me know .
