Seller's Description

Rare Model 12B (Gallery Special) .22 SHORT Slide Action Rifle

Offered here for sale is a very SCARCE variation

of the Remington Model 12. Over our more than

45 years in the business we have acquired

hundreds of Model 12 rifles. However

can count only a few of the "Gallery Specials".

In addition, every one of those rare pieces have been in poor-fair condition only due to the fact that the great majority were used in shooting galleries because

of the .22 SHORT chambering. Even this one, which has been TASTEFULLY REBLUED is no exception - although aside from the refinishing, it is in FINE condition.

The bore is still good (we would call is 95%) and the barrel and receiver retain all of their vintage reblue. There are a couple of places on the barrel where there

may have been some rust or very minute pitting but hardly visible under the blue. The receiver is boldly stamped "GALLERY SPECIAL" and the barrel stamped

".22 SHORT". It has a 24" octagon barrel,

15 shot magazine, hammerless, open sights and half pistol grip. These guns were made from 1909-1936 and would command over $2000 in excellent to mint condition. Even with the reblue, this

is a scarce and desirable rifle. H100-3 LHQA $595 Thanks for looking and please e-mail us with any questions PRIOR to bidding.
