In good, decent condition, we have an extremely scarce rarely ever seen US WW1 issued Remington Model 10-A trench gun or possibly aerial training gun that was converted as nearly all of them were to riot gun configuration after the war in the very early post war period 1918-1921. It could have been a training gun because it was originally marked as modified choke. This could have been done by Remington or by the Army when converted. Only a few known example exist that remain in the Trench gun configuration and the most worn out example would bring $15k with mint ones probably breaking $25k without a sweat. These shotguns were used by the Army and the Marines post WW1 and were also used by the Treasury Dept against Bootleggers and also the Post Office as well. According to Springfield Research an example made two guns before this one went to the US Post Office in 1921. This one stayed in Service probably through the end of WW2, although by that time they were worn out and withdrawn from service.
