This listing is for a rare mid 18th century fantastic very ornate large European Horseman's flintlock pistol. This type of gun was often carried by horsemen who wore ramrods around their necks for easier access to help make reloading quicker. I think the photos speak for themselves in this auction. This gun has an amazing amount of metal work on the barrel, pommel and lock plate in addition to a beautifully embedded silver wire design all over the gun. The lock action functions properly in both half-cock and full-cock positions. There is a silver plate on the back of the stock where the owners initials were often placed. Overall, this piece appears to be in pretty good shape for it's age with no breaks in the stock. I have never come across a flintlock pistol as ornate and eye-catching as this. During its time, this type of item was not just a gun, but a symbol of status. This is an astounding piece of history and would make a stunning addition to ones home, office or rare and unique flintlock collection. This is an antique and should be treated as so. I do not recommend firing this due to its and and wear and am not to be held liable for anything that may happen involving this gun. This is being sold for display purposes only. There is no FFL required for this item in most states due to the fact that it is an antique. I will NOT ship this item to New Jersey, Illinois, Washington D.C., New York City or any other state/city that restricts firearm ownership. It is up to you to know your state, county, and local laws and to make sure that this item is legal for you to own. The buyer must be over the age of 21. The shipping cost including Insurance is $29.95 If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Thanks for looking and Good Luck Bidding!
