*** ATTENTION PLEASE - FOLLOWING A NON-PAYING BIDDER ON THIS ITEM PREVIOUSLY, MAY WE PLEASE REQUEST YOU DO NOT BID ON THIS PISTOL UNLESS YOU HAVE FULLY READ OUR ADVERTISEMENT IN ADVANCE ** You are looking at a late 18th century/early 19th century pistol - it's also possibly earlier. IT IS FOR TOTAL RESTORATION AND IS IN POOR CONDITION. I suspect it was once a flintlock that was later converted to a percussion firing system. It seems to me as if this weapon has been submerged in water for a long time. The stock is broken but has been glued back together. The steel is corroded and pitted. Mechanism completely jammed. Ramrod stuck. Remnants I think of a proof mark on the barrel but it is unreadable. Remnants of engraving on the lock plate - it appears to be a rose growing above a crown. Length almost exactly 12 inches. Barrel around 8.25inches long. WEAPON FOR TOTAL RESTORATION OR WALL DECORATION ONLY AND OFFERED FOR SALE 'AS SEEN'. ***ATTENTION - UNTESTED ARM *** Please do not attempt to load and fire this weapon UNLESS YOU HACVE HAD A FULL SAFETY CHECK FIRST FROM A QUALIFIED GUNSMITH. Please note - most of our guns are shipped from NM whether they're sourced in the US or through my pal and business partner in France. We ship lots of stuff between us both ways) This one will ship from France, as there didn't seem much point shipping it to me first. Time in transit - about 5/7 days or so normally.
