Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two piece varnished and press checkered hardwood set. The forend has a mark on the right, of shallow depth. The butt stock has a black capped pistol grip and fluted comb. There are scrapes and pressure marks, there are no visible cracks or major damages. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the factory rubber ventilated shotgun-style recoil pad; the pad is set with a black and white spacer and shows only a few light scuffs, rating in Excellent condition. The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The rib has light compression at some of the edges, there are shell marks on the receiver at the ejection port. The top of the receiver has a few dings of mild depth. There are marks on the lifter from shell rims, but in all it does not look like the shotgun saw much use in its life. The markings are crisp. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This shotgun looks to have had very little use outside of factory testing, with all mechanics responding with crisp lockup and release. The shotgun has a safety button on the trigger guard and slide release on the left of the trigger plate. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None
Our Assessment: The Winchester Model 1200 began production in 1964, replacing the model 12; the shotgun has dual slide arms, a solid action and crisp trigger pull and even saw a stint with the U.S. armed forces. This shotgun shows only minor handling marks and looks to have been fired a handful of times outside of factory testing. The option of adding more chokes to this shotgun's platform will help with everything from hunting to trap, but right now would be nice for sporting clays or taking some wings out of the sky. Please see our pictures and good luck.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This shotgun can be transferred in California.
