Overall, this revolver rates in about Fair condition.
Mechanics: The frame has a loading gate, the center pin could not be removed without possibly damaging the metal, the revolver needs a thorough cleaning. The cylinder produces wide play side to side in full lockup with mild back play. We did not fire this revolver.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None
Our Assessment: This revolver is a solid frame five shot double action pocket pistol built on an all steel frame. It was designed with a nickel finish, a round butt and a 2 1/2” octagon barrel. It is an H &R Arms Model “The American Double Action” revolver built between 1888 and 1897. This pistol would make a great restoration project for someone with knowledge of these vintage revolvers. It definitely screams "VINTAGE" and would look great on display.
