Seller's Description

Vintage Model 1894 .30WCF SRC Carbine

The Winchester Model 1894

is one of the most prominent and desirable

collectible weapons in American history. With longetivity

of production without any major changes, the Model 1894 and as it was later nicknamed the Model 94 had enjoyed over 100 years of popularity before it

ended "New Haven" production 2006. In many

barrel lengths and configurations, these original specimens MADE IN NEW HAVEN are very much in demand for colelctors. This specimen, serial number 908626 was manufactured circa 1922 and although it has seen use it was well cared for and it is in that "of the period" vintage look.

This specimen is a DESIRABLE SRC (Saddle Ring carbine) version with 20" barrel. It exhibits the early elongated forearm and crescent shaped steel buttplate. The gun's barrel retains most of its finish while the receiver has its wear and retains flashes (under 20%) of original blue with the remainder a pleasing greyish patina. Very sound with not rust or pitting

and with an EXCELLENT BORE. The wood shows some average wear but is also sound and in fine condition. In addition to its saddle ring (a desirable element for collectors) it has a very fine "military" type ladder sight on it. A very fine collectible Winchester carbine.
