Seller's Description

US Springfield Model 1861 Smokepipe, 1864 Lock, 1862 left of nipple, top of barrel. Barrel measures 33 3/4" end of barrel to start of top tang. This is how I measure all of these. This actually has decent rifling. It looks as if sight was removed? Left side wood has two cartouches. Hammer spring is not working (I didn't take it apart?) Nice old cleaning rod. End of bore measures about 0.620". I must add looking the bore, it appears that someone could have bore the end of barrel in about 3-4" removing the rifling. This one could be used with some work.
