Description

Seller's Description:
This auction is for a Ruger No. 1 Varmint Rifle chambered in 22-250 Remington. The serial number is 1923 and according to the Ruger website, http://ruger.com/service/productHistory/RI-No1.html , this was the FIRST YEAR OF MANUFACTURE or 1967. It has been used very little and was well cared for. It has Walnut checkered stocks and factor swivel studs. I almost classified the stock as "delux wood" but am not positively sure, but if you take a close look at the pics, the wood is much better than average. I have a few more pics if you want to email me. This rifle also includes the vintage scope rings (with the rings breaking vertical and screws on the side) and a (newer than 1967, possibly 10-15 year old) Leupold VX II 3X9 X 40MM Obj. Lastly, this auction additionally includes a vintage set of RCBS Dies as shown in the vintage box in picture number 9. These dies are circa 1970's, do not appear to have been used that often and are in 100% working condition. A great rifle for Ruger Collectors or any Varmint Hunter or Target Shooter. I only ship to FFL and the purchaser is also responsible for a $49.99 shipping and handling charge to the lower 48 states that includes insurance.

  Questions from GunAuction.com Users...
(Public)
Q:  Is there a rust line below the serial number? And are there any bluing or wood issues? Thanks 03/12/2010
A:  Hello and thanks for inquiring. NO, there is no rust at all on this rifle. The bluing looks great and so does the stock. I took another dozen pictures of the serial number after I cleaned the rifle up some more. There was just some grease there and the new pics are fantastic. Please email me for them. John 03/16/2010

Q:  Can you please send or post more pictures of the receiver area with the serial number? It just does not look right in the pictures and numbers do not appear to be lined up correctly. Other than that issue the gun appears very nice and I am interested in placing a bid. Thanks! 03/15/2010
A:  Hello and thanks for inquiring. No, I cannot "post" anymore pics because AA only allows you to post 10. However, I am emailing you another ten pictures and it shows that there is nothing wrong around the serial number other than some grease that I just removed. The pics are on the way and if anyone else wants to see them, just email me. John 03/16/2010
