Mossberg Model 42M (c) .22 Caliber Bolt Action Rifle
This rifle qualifies as a Curio & Relic
Offered for your consideration is one (1) Mossberg Model 42M (c) bolt action rifle with a Weaver G4 scope and N2 scope mount. This rifle was manufactured from 1944 until 1950 and is in very good mechanical condition and functions very well. The items that are missing are available from several parts suppliers, including Victor & Cheryl Havlin, (636-937-6401), who specialize in collecting Mossberg firearms and have many of their parts for sale.
The Weaver G4 scope and mount was produced from 1947 to 1954 and is in overall very good condition with optics that show some minor dust accumulation on the interior of the ¾ inch steel tube. Nick Strobels’ book, “Old Gun Sights & Rifle Scopes; Identification & Price Guide”, 2008 Krause Publications, places the value of this scope at between $50.00 to $100.00.
