Description

Seller's Description:
Due to the fact that there were several questions regarding the barrel matching the receiver, I took a deep breath and went for it. Not being sure on the take down of this specific shotgun, I removed the barrel and found that it does indeed match. This is as far as I was comfortable in the disassembly. Adding photos. For your consideration is this Stevens Model 520-30 US Military trench gun. The condition of this shotgun is very good with approx. 85% original finish. The buttplate is a replacement done by me as the original was missing when I purchased it. The rest of the gun is in original condition. The bayonet mount is the correct pinkish color. The bayonet boss is slightly bent and would need to be straightened to mount the bayonet properly. There is an M on the front of the trigger guard. There have been several questions as to the serial number on the barrel. Shotgun appears to never have been disassembled, screws look to have never been turned on the reciever. Which is why I hesitate to take it apart. All US proofs and markings are correct for this weapon. There were approximately 43,000 of these shotguns made for the US military during WW2. I am a new seller on Auction Arms. I do have a 100% feedback rating buying and selling on ebay under the screen name thundrox. Shotgun is being sold as a collectible. You should have it checked by a qualified gunsmith before firing.

Q:  Hello. Does the barrel have a matching serial number to the frame? Thanks. 07/26/2008
A:  Several questions have been asked about the barrel and receiver numbers matching. I can not say for sure if they do because I have never had it apart. 07/26/2008
