This Swedish Model 96 Mauser has been made into a full, outrageously custom shooter. It is in the original 6.5x55 caliber, which is inherently accurate. The metal rates at 99+% condition. The wood is a custom piece of maple with absolutely beautiful figure and color. The photos do NOT do it justice. The barrel is 26" long of medium contour and tapers to 11/16" at the muzzle. The scope is a Leupold VARI-X III 6.5x20 with fine duplex reticle and sunshade. There are four tapped holes in the left reciever rail that were for an earlier mounted side scope base. They have been neatly filled as shown in the photos. The barrel is an ACE by Flaig. The wood is by a local gunsmith who specialized in beautiful maple stocks. I have others that are also on the auction by him. The stock is glass bedded. This gun is an absolute tack driver. It is also C&R eligible.
