remington 722 in 22-250 i had a customer bring this thing in the shop a few years ago and left it to be repaired/built and haven't seen him since. gun had been in the garege and was his Dad's and wanted it rebuilt to 22-250 varmint. i had to replace the trigger ( hard to find )and replaced the firing pin spring with a 22# Blitzschnell type. i lapped the lugs on the bolt and squared the action and tapped the threads etc. i pulled the orig. barrel .300 savage which was junk and replaced with a heavy varmint barrel made by a local bench rester/barrel maker 26" long 1-14 twist hand lapped with a target crown. also has new Leupold 2 .piece bases and new high rings and a Simmons Aetec 2.8-10 scope with sun shade. it had no stock so i installed a Boyds nutmeg laminate and inletted it and free floated the barrel in needs to be finish sanded and coated or oiled. barrel has been polished to 400 grit the action needs to be polished up and the whole barreled action needs to be blued. i have fired a few test rounds through the rifle the only thing mechanically it needs is a new magazine spring. they are available at Numrich for around $10 without too much effort you can have this thing ready for the spring varmint season i already have quite a bit of time and $$ in this thing and figure someone out there needs a winter project i have too many now. shipping will be $35 and i am an FFL and will only ship to another FFL must have funds within 7 days of close of auction good luck www.skaggsgunsmithing.com
