You are bidding on a Marlin Model 1887 Double Action Revolver. Made between
1887 to 1899. They say 15,000 made. 4 digit sn so made before 1898. Caliber is
32 centerfire. 3 1/4" barrel. Bore shows roughness but shootable. Top of
barrel is marked "Marlin Firearms Co. New Haven Conn. U.S.A./Patented Aug 9.
1887. Front sight is present with no modifications. About 40% orginal nickel
remains. Blued trigger guard. Grips are nice but left panel shows chip in
bottom. Action works well and locks up tight when fired. Have it checked by
confident gunsmith before firing. Antique so no special paperwork required.
