Seller's Description:
Otis A Smith, DA revolver. You will have to look hard to find this obscure
model in books. This is actually a VERY well made quality revolver. Original
nickel plated steel frame barrel and cylinder. 38 S&W centerfire with a raised
rib 3 1/4 inch barrel. It has a unique, easily recognizable cylinder pin
release. Nice, original grips showing no wear or chips or cracks. They have an
odd whirl pattern engaving to them. The top rib of this revolver is marked OTIS
A SMITH ROCKFALL CONN. U.S.A. MODEL 1887. Then below that is a string of patent
dates, the last one being 1888. This is in superb working order with rock soild
cylinder lockup better than a NEW Smith & Wesson. Times perfectly. Bore does
have some light pitting but is quite shootable looking. Outside is approx. 70%
original nickel on barrel assembly with faling on top strap and muzzle.
Cylinder is approx. 50% flaked original nickel with balance being a silvery
patina that blends well. Frame is 70-80% original nickle with flaked areas and
those areas also being a silvery grey. Nice shooter for a cowboy pocket pistol
or for you pocket pistol collection. A rare little revolver that is ANTIQUE
status. GOOD LUCK! NO FFL or C&R needed! Immediate shipment upon payment by
