This is one harks back to the days of the Little Big Horn! The Martin primer was one of the earliest inside primed
designs used in the transition from rimfires to the now standard Boxer type. This was an US military arsenal
loading introduced in 1869 - 1871 (references disagree) for use in converted martial cap & ball revolvers. It was
discontinued in 1873 with the introduction of the .45 Colt round loaded with the Benet design priming system -
consequently, it is seldom seen today. No headstamp, of course . . . there is some staining & verdigris on the
case not apparent in the scan as well as lead oxidation with the bullet. Still, overall G condition. Pls. eml any ?s
before bidding. Also **PLEASE** read the paperwork requirements and shipping info before bidding to avoid
misunderstandings later. Successful bidder *must*: (1) provide proof of age by photocopy of DL or other ID and
(2) include *signed* statement as follows: "Under penalty of perjury, there are no laws or regulations in my
jurisdiction of residence which prohibit me from buying or receiving the ammunition or components transferred in
this transaction." Item WILL NOT be shipped until I have these documents in hand! Period. Shipping actual
charges via UPS or FedEx Ground plus $1.50 handling per package from zip 032xx. NOTE: the common carriers'
rates are loaded on the front end; the minimum one pound package will typically cost $5 to $8, while the
incremental cost for heavier packages is relatively minor. NOTE: loaded ammunition of any kind, in any amount,
may NOT be shipped by mail (see Postal regs: Publication 52, Section 341.21c). Certified funds (MO, PMO, etc.)
only, please (i.e., **NO** PERSONAL CHECKS!!) - I have been burned too many times and it simply is not worth
the hassle. I will be listing a large number of items from my collection / accumulation (click on 'view seller's
auctions') and am more than happy to combine lots to save you S&H. Thanks and good luck!
