Buyer Tip: If you're the High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder. Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't high enough. You're not the High Bidder until you've been notified by email that you are. All Auctions are conducted in Pacific Standard Time.

Description

Seller's Description:

I have for sale or possible trade a nice Sako AV rifle chambered in 375 Holland And Holland Mag. This is one nice safari rifle. The 375 round is made for large game hunting, it will bring down a lion or elephant or rhino or water hippo or water buffalo with one single shot. The rifle comes with Sako factory scope rings. The AV actions are considered some of the best in the world, Sako stopped making them many years ago because they were too expensive to manufacture. The rifle has a Kriger barrel. The rifle was originally in 375 H&H magnum. The factory barrel was replaced with a Kriger barrel which was 2 inches longer than the factory barrel and also provided for match grade accuracy even at long ranges. Many hunters like the 375 Holland and Holland mag rounds because it has the same muzzle velocity and same flight charateristics as the 308 winchester round, except it is twice as heavy as the 308 round. Unlike some of the other safari rounds like 458 Win. Or 416 rigby, the 375 H&H mag is very fast and maintains its velocity down range. So you can make some very long range game shots with the 375 H&H Mag round. That is where the Kriger barrel comes in, it provides match like performance should the hunter choose to fire at game at 500+ yards away. In addition, the stainless steel Kriger barrel will not be as sensitivie to the elements as standard barrels, and with full 26 inch length you will get the full performance out of the cartridges you are firing. While the vast majority of Safari rifles come with 24 inch barrels, the velocities posted on ammo boxes are measured on rifles with 26 inch barrels. This rifle will give you all the velocity you can get out of your cartridge, and perform like a match rifle if you choose to make long range shots. The 375 H&H mag has the same energy at 600 yards as the 308 winchester at point blank, you will easily brind down large game at extreme ranges with this rifle setup.

I would prefer to sell the weapon for cash but I am also interested in trading it for other firearms or for gold or silver coins. Gold protects your portfolio if the market crashes or if there is inflation, scenarios associated with down market moves. However, firearms have even better correlation to the market as they do great as a portfolio allocation as long as the market moves up or down. If the market crashes there is more crime and more fear and people buy more guns as a self insurance policy. If the market rises there is more disposable income and people buy more guns. If the fed stops printing money and the economy improves the price of gold will come down, however the price of guns is not likely to come down as people will have more disposable income but also because with the passage of time it only becomes harder to acquire more guns because governments keep passing new restrictions and regulations. I use my firearms as a portfolio allocation but I also like keeping them around. If there is ever a break down in law and order through a natural or man made disaster your firearm is the only thing that will protect you, your property and your loved ones as law enforcement officers will be tied up elsewhere, just ask the people of Louisiana who needed police protection during hurricane Katrina.

I am primarily interested in one ounce gold or sivler coins, I like Eagles, liberties or maples but PAMPs or Krugerrands would work as well. I will treat you very fairly and give you credit for the spot price of gold or sivler. If the spot price of gold is more than my firearm I will make you whole with other firearms or ammo or accessories. I will not rip you off like those gold buying stores that pay people 30% below spot price. Again, I will get you credit for the spot price of gold. I am not an a gold business. I am just a private individual who is doing an asset swap by swapping some of my firearms for gold in order to balance my portfolio and my firearm collection. I will make up the difference in the price of my weapon and the spot price of one ounce of gold with other firearms, please look at my other auctions and see what interests you. I will combine several firearms to come up with a fair value for your one ounce gold coin, I will treat you very fairly. As far as firearms go I would like to trade it for a Steyr AUG or HK 91 or FN FAL (Belgian only). I might also be interested in other partial trades, just let me know what you have. I will trade the rifle even for a one ounce gold coin.

I must ship the weapon to your ffl, there are absolutely no exceptions to this rule. Shipping is free to whomever purchases from me or whoever trades with me as long as your ffl accepts from me directly. If he does not please add $25 as that is what he will charge me for the transfer. Also if you want insurance please add $40 as that is what it will cost to insure the weapon for shipping.

If you want to buy the weapon just hit the buy it now and you can send me a personal check or money order as payment. If you want to trade, here is how the trading works. Once we agree on a trade I will end the auction or auctions. You will then send your gold or silver to me directly, or if you are trading me firearms your firearm to my ffl. Once your payment gold gets to me or your firearm to my ffl, I will ship my weapon or weapons to your ffl. This is just like purchasing something on auction arms and sending payment first, except you are paying with another firearm or with gold. These terms are not negotiable. Please look at the pictures carefully as I went through a lot of trouble to take them. Either send me a message through this site or for best results email me directly at longkarabine@gmail.com, please specify which one of my weapons you were interested in.

I strive to answer all emails within 24 hours, if I fail to respond I never got your message so please try again. I sincerely appreciate your time and consideration and I apologize for the long description but this amazingly beautiful weapon truly warrants a lot of detail in the wording. I have this weapon for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction early. I will not end the auction if there is a bid on it. I will gladly sell or trade the weapon face to face to an Illinois resident with a valid Illinois Firearms Owners Identification Card. Again, I can only ship the weapon to a licensed FFL and I can only sell it or trade it face to face to someone with a Valid FOID Card. All the best and May The Second Amendment Live Forever.
