Seller's Description: Remington Model 12C, 22 Caliber Rifle. Short, long, and long rifle. 24 inch heavy Octagon Barrel. Fine condition. Rifle has 95% of original bluing. Blue is browning in some places as would be expected on a 100 year old rifle. Excellent bore and very tight action. Oil finished stock is turning dark with age. Payment and Shipping Instructions: Payment must be received within 5 business days of close of auction or I reserve the right to re-list. Postal Money order or Cashiers Check only please. I accept returns only if the gun is described inaccurately. I usually ship within one day of funds clearing. FFL is required. (C&R is OK for this rifle.) US sales only please. Q:  To your knowledge, is this rifle completely original?		11/30/2010
A:  Yes it is 100% original. My grandfather acquired it new around 1912 and it has been in my family ever since. The stock has been refreshed over the years with light coats of linseed oil but that's it. It's never been sanded or modified in any way.		11/30/2010

Q:  Do you have any paperwork or prevenance with the gun? I kniow I'm really reaching back to 1812, but.....		12/01/2010
A:  No. My grandfather was a hunter; not a collector. He traded a black and tan coon hound to a hardware store owner for the rifle. I don't even think they came with paperwork in those days.		12/01/2010
