Thread Title: "Splits 2009 Bear hunting cronicals"
Splittinhairs Bear season in MN. starts Sept. 1st and baiting begins Aug. 14. A couple of years ago a close freind of mine and his 13 year old boy were shot and killed by a scumbag home intrusion. His wife was critically shot also as her son lay dying in her arms. She was hospitalized for about a year and lost her left arm. She was hit with a shotgun slug. Father and son are greatly missed, especially during deer season when they would come up and hunt. They held a benefit auction in they're home town for her huge medical bills. I donated a Bear hunt for two. The gentleman that won the bid pulled a permit this year as did I so I thought I would post the progress through the hunt from beginning to end complete with pics. Hope everyone enjoys.

5th , you are doing the right thing. I think you would know how fast an infection or virus can travel in a place like that. In the long run it will be best.

double - Yeah, I know but I hate to miss a cookout when the kids get something they really like to eat and we get to mingle with them and their families all together with the other wounded guys.  I know that they have some interaction in the hospital but getting them all together where they can see how the others have progressed is really good for them.

You are right 5th, That run for the wall is coming up on Memorial weekend and there will probably be 700 to 800 bikers coming to eat.  No telling what percentige will actually be sick in the group.  It is an experiance to remember.   I will get some pics and post here.   (if Split doesnt mind)  Smile

I've ridden "Rolling Thunder" at least a half-dozen times and it's something else.  If you don't manage to get toward the front of the pack you can count on about 4 hours waiting time from the time it starts to when you actually leave the Pentagon parking lot.  It was miserable in the early years.  There wasn't even a place to get a drink of water and sitting there waiting for hours could get mighty warm.  I wouldn't even start my bike when the procession started because nobody was going to hear it over all of those Harleys, anyway.

If you're a biker and a patriot, ya gotta do it at least once.   Wink

One bike was custom made for a wheel chair. If he shows up again I will definately get a pic of it. All controls used by the hands. Very unique.

I've seen that guy, or at least someone who has a rig like that.  "Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome!"
