Hartwell Gun

I would have bet my last dime that all the western style revolvers, with the FIE name, were either imported from Germany or Italy-- check out the photo below.

Same reason they put those sliding plates beneath the hammers of the late model single sixes, to try to keep idiots from shootin themselves. Keepin the gene pool poluted.

To keep the lawers from getting rich at the expense of gun makers. It is crazy how many people handle guns like as if they were the three stooges. Maybe thats where they learned GUN HANDLING. I have a brotherinlaw that is that stupid. Lucky his wife doesn't let him own a gun. He would have a AD at least once a week. He does drive a car tho. You can pick his car out of a bunch. Its the one that has not been washed in years, leaking oil, water and any other fluid plus it has been BULL HUNCHED in the back and he never got it fixed, just cashed the check and kept the money.

Cimarron - You have my sincere condolences.  You should have talked your sister out of marrying WALI and if that failed, locked her away someplace.  Laughing

Cimmarron, I take offense to that. I'm a great mechanic, gunsmith, plumber, electrician, and everything else but I always loved driving cars like that. You can park them anywhere and you never fight for a lane change or parking spot, you just go for it and that Mercedes will back right off. My favorite car, years ago was a 1969 Ford LTD. Big battleship size, green with vinyl roof, four door hardtop, 390ci automatic. It had been rear ended and shoved into the next car, didn't even hurt it. It would seat six yet you didn't even hardly touch shoulders. It had a trunk you could almost put one of those little smart cars in. We went out crabbing out in the marsh one day and someone had littered by throwing away a huge Coleman cooler box. I cut out the side of the box and put it in the back window of the car back on the rear deck. In huge letters it said "Built to survive the real world" And best of all, no one would ever mess with it. I've have friends ask wasn't I worried about leaving a gun, tools, or other valuables in the car. I would just say "lets say you are a thief, you are in Walmart parking lot, and you are going to break into a car, which one would you chose last"? It looked like crap but never missed a beat, I could run it up near 100mph and then shift into drive. I still drive Bronco's, a F250, etc. that don't look all that good but I keep them running great.

One day we were to meet my sister and her husband for lunch at a place about half way between there house and mine. They got there about 20 minutes late cause they had to drive 35mph cause if they went faster the oil light would come on and stay on but if they drove slower it would go on and off. While we were eating he ask me if I had any oil in my car he could barrow. He keeps a couple quarts stashed under the hood in case he needs some while on the road. He had used his stash and not replaced it. He never fills his engine to the full mark, just to the add mark. He thinks it leaks less that way, then when he starts to loose oil pressure, he adds some from his stash. He also doesn't change his oil. Claims it never wears out and coal black is telling you it is doing its job, carring away dirt and carbon. The only thing is, its bringing it back to lube everything with.
