Thread Title: "Here is a new ERROR message"
oldmanjeffers

Server Error in '/shop' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

These are a lot of major error messages for just one day all at the same time. This is not good for buyers, sellers, or even those just browsing the website. Plus we may not even have seen them all. This is not good.

I tried to start a thread, received the following message instead. This is getting worse by the minute.

 "An Error has Occurred with Your Request...

Our apologies... An error has occurred in the processing of you request. Please try your request again. If you get this message again, please contact us for further assistance. Thankyou"

As I'm sure you noticed, we've implemented phase 1 of the rollout plan - the change of the home page, search page, and item detail page.  If you see anything wacky, let us know - there's bound to be issues that need to be resolved.  Thanks for your patience while we complete this change.

Just refuse to ever put that window in the search box for items we don't want to search for, don't they?

Manny - The FORUM is frozen. You can't "Go Back 10" or "Go Next 10" or "Beginning" or "End".

I did find when I try to do a search using the 'search' option at the top or bottom of a web page I get an error message and the link is:

http://www.gunauction.com/search/search.aspx

I found that if I change the www to classic the search comes up and works.

The problems seemto be hit or miss, I quess one could call it a failure to feed. FTF.

Found another solution.  When I try to view and item and click on an item # I will get an error message.

But I found if I change the link it works.

Bad link:

http://classic.gunauction.com/search/displayitem.cfm?ItemNum=10934644"

Remove the " at the end and it works.
