I got a call from Howard (Evildoer)today. His family is all well and they are safe. Otherwise, he’s pretty much lost everything. I saw pictures from Bay St Louis in the newspaper this morning and there was nothing left. Howard had his home on beachfront property on 15 foot pilings. The storm surge was estimated at 35 to 38 feet. He said his community did not suffer any of the violence other places had experienced. He left the day before Katrina hit and said they rode out the storm and weathered 90 mile an hour winds in his pick-up in a rest stop in Alabama. Whoa!! For those of you who may have won an auction from Evildoer, and have not yet paid, we are going to cancel all his auctions, so don’t worry about paying or any negative feedback. If you have paid for an auction and haven't received it, Howard requests you take what steps you can to cancel your payment if you sent it by mail (the Post office no longer exists). Also, please drop me a note bob@auctionarms.com with the auction number, date paid, by what means it was sent. I am trying to facilitate Howard's communications with customers until he can get settled and plugged back into the internet. Howard tells me he is looking to resettle in Northern Georgia and says he’ll be back on AuctionArms just as soon as he can. Can't keep a good man down! God Speed Howard. I’m sure Howard appreciates your prayers and thoughts during this time of travail, I know we all do. |
