Thread Title: "GunAuction.com Public Statement on Newtown Shooting..."
AuctionArmsCeo

We at GunAuction.com are horrified by the events that transpired in Newtown, CT on Friday, and wish to express our sympathies to the families of all those that have been affected. We know that nothing we can say will ease your pain in this trying time, but you are in our thoughts and prayers, and we dearly hope that you will come to find some comfort.

That being said, there are many people, who in a very predictable fashion, are trying to use this tragedy to further their political agenda of restricting our 2nd Amendment rights. We all knew that with the re-election of Barack Obama, there would be the risk of a President unrestrained by the prospect of another campaign, who would reveal his true intentions of limiting freedom. We now see the President working with Sen. Feinstein, to revive her long discredited and discarded Assault Weapons Ban, in an attempt to harness the emotions of the moment for political gain.

We at GunAuction.com would like to publicly declare that we fully understand the core purpose of the 2nd Amendment - to maintain the balance of power that exists between the government and the governed, and that we will never compromise our standards regarding the 2nd Amendment, that it is our 1st Amendment duty to provide this marketplace to the American public.

We never wavered. We are FULLY open for business. Thanks for your loyalty and support.

On April 19, 1995, around 9:03 a.m., just after parents dropped their children off at day care at the Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City, the unthinkable happened.

the Murrah building after

A massive bomb inside a rental truck exploded, blowing half of the nine-story building into oblivion.

A stunned nation watched as the bodies of men, women, and children were pulled from the rubble for nearly two weeks. When the smoke cleared and the exhausted rescue workers packed up and left, 168 people were dead in the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

The 168 victims killed in the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building included babies and grandparents, workers at their first days on the job and those on the verge of retirement.

One woman was seven months pregnant with her first child. Another had had her wedding four days earlier. One baby had celebrated her first birthday the day before. In addition to those who lost their lives, 500 people were injured. Countless others lost friends and relatives.

I will not try to say that I feel the sorrow that the parents feel for the lost of their child from the senseless violence of evil people, I can only imagine that their sorrow is many, many, many, times more than what I feel from the lost of these young innocent Souls. The only answer to protect the younguns is to develop a true sense of community, such as this Country use to know.

Why, can't we use armed guards to protect our children? We, use armed guards to protect the gold. In my opinion the Children are more valuable than gold.

I myself, do not blame anything other than the Devil. I believe the Devil's time is short, and the Devil has more mayhem in-store before he his chained.

Good thread, Manny. Will see soon enough how it all shakes out. Gonna be a bumpy road. Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail and somewhere in the middle they all will meet. Right now, it is the antis moment in the sun. This is the moment they have been waiting for for years.

smokn, not without a fight. And MAYbe, just maybe, someone will actually realize that what they are doing is not a solution, but just a panacea, and maybe will try to come up with something less draconian, and inneffective. Probably not though............
