| (no avatar) | Well, this is a first for me. No info on a 14 inch socket bayonet for a Trapdoor? I can't find anything on the Net. I've either got a find, or a coincidence, or it's a dumb question. By the way it started at $40, but I got it down to $32. |

Kenden - Contact Keith Rush at http://www.trapdoors.com/about.php . If there's anyone who can tell you about your bayonet, he can. |

| (no avatar) | I was thinking it was for a cadet rifle, I found this forum were someone is discussing a 14 inch bayonet. If it is a cadet bayonet you did good. And since yours has "14" stamped on it, more than liely is NOT a shortened bayonet.

| (no avatar) | Tim at College Hill seems to think it's a reworked cadet bayonet, shortened as no 14 inch ones were made for a Model 1873. He thinks the "14" could also be a rack number not the length, but I don't know about that. The forum from Carbob is interesting. I'm waiting to hear from Keith. I'll keep you posted. |
