Thread Title: ".40 S&W IN AR-15"
(no avatar)

With all the LE using .40 S&W in their pistols now I can't beleive someone has not come up with a AR-15 in this caliber with like a 30 or 32 round stick magazine. I think it would make good rifle pistol set up.

I think I read about one in 10mm auto but not in the 40 slow and weak. Brownells has the CCU  for 1911s and Glocks. They may be making one on .40. I know they have them for 45 ACP and 9MM. They are made in Montana I think.I have one for the 1911 in 45ACP and it a 100%ER. The grand kids can sure burn up a bunch of ammo with it. I let them shoot all they want as long as they are safe. When I was a kid I asked dad if I could take his 22 and go shooting. He would say sure, here is five rounds, bring back at least four rabbits.

LMAO, sounds like my grandpa, that is what he would say. We used to take our slingshots, remember the "red rubber" that was great for slingshots? Anyway, we would walk down to the feed mill, and kill pidgeons with 1/2 inch marbles, come back and sell 'em dressed for a dime a piece, "alot" of folks used to eat them when I was a kid. It was a good way to earn some "pocket money". WALI..............

KELLY, you are correct. The red rubber was great for "flippers" as my dad called them, then the different rubbers started comming along. WALI...................

Cim reminds me of a story dad tells about hunting with grandpa.  It seems dad was in trouble for a while and to indicate the end of his exile grandpa decided they should go hunting.  The trip started with grandpa chewing him out because he only had a handfull of mixed shells for the Winchester (62A) A few shorts and a couple of longs.  As dad tells the story  they came home with two pheasants, two rabbits and one extra shell in the gun.  Grandpa has been gone for 40 years now and dad still tears up over a memory from 1958.  It wasn't the great success of the trip.  It was about living up to your dad's expectations and the love and forgiveness of a father.  How much better off would we be today if all of the dads out there still taught the lessons of responsibility, consequence, and love of their children?
