| (no avatar) | Call Bradley Hunt at Alkaili International Corp. "AIC" , tell him what you want and he will build a precision masterpiece that will fit your needs for less than you will spend puttin one together. 775-625-2413 |

| (no avatar) | Damn...while a $2000 custom AR would be nice, I wouldn't call it the "best value" in the world. I'd say, from what I've heard, Del-ton is making some very affordable yet fairly decent quality firearm, will build to your specs via. their website. Myself, I really like the Colt 6920. for a "name brand" you can get them at Wal-mart now, for about $1000. I'd specifically avoid any of the "carbon" receivers, I've handled and shot them, and if you think AR's are the "mattell" gun with alloy receivers....Make an AR with polymer upper and lower...and it feels exactly like the garbage that it is. |

Wally-world has "bushmasters" plain jane for $699.00. My buddy got one, and, it shoots great. But, like OR says, if you want the best, call Bradley..........WALI............ |

Thanks but that seems to be the problem I'm not real sure what I want. I've always delt with bolt actions shotguns revolvers stayed within what I know. I've just aquired a craving to have one of these AR style guns. I've had people tell me they won't shoot reloads well or this gun or that manufacturer won't accept certain add ons. Are there any advantages to one style over another. While I'm typing this I'm thinking the answer to all this is just shut up and call the man like ole rattler said. Thanks for the info. |

I like the colt have never shot the bushmaster but for 300.00 difference I could learn to like it. What I want it for is just to piddle and play no matches or anything. The only add on is a scope [don't see as well as I used to]. Will most of these digest reloads? |

| (no avatar) | AR's are generally not known for their ability to digest ratty ammo. It almost sounds like you would rather have an AK, just to have fun with. |

I thought about AK but what about brass? If all you can get is military brass they for they most part are such a pain to reload with the crimped primer. |

| (no avatar) | I have a couple Bushmasters and a Armalite, also have a rock river. No problems with any of them. One thing DON'T screw with the 22lr conversion units to save money. The bore and twist is all wrong in any of the C/F uppers and my Rock River upper was ruined because it stuck a remington 22lr bullet half way down and ejected the spent case, chambered the next round. Of course that resulted in a RING in the barrel that no one will take responsability for. The 22 conversion says in the instruction sheet to shoot good high grade remington ammo in it. If you want to shoot 22lr ammo go out and buy a S&W M and P 15-22. I bought one and liked it so much I went and bought another. The most fun 22 you can buy. DO NOT BUY ANY REMINGTON 22 RF FOR ANY 22, even that old CrackShot you keep in the barn to shoot extra cats with. As far as I am concerned there isn't any such thing as good high grade remington 22rf ammo. They have a real B%&ch that answers the phone also. |
